He had a pretty complex surgery after the "KNIGHT FALL" events and Lady Shiva trained him back to health. If I remember correctly.

Isn't lady Shiva more of an enemy to him ? What was her incentive ?

I think Lady Shiva was all about finding someone who was comparable to her in fighting prowess. I'm not sure if she was fundamentally 'bad' (please correct me if i am wrong)

Yeah, she trained Batgirl Cassandra, but only so they could fight in a duel to the death.

I don't know the specific events. I am curious if anyone else does but I am pretty sure both are still alive & kicking !! They would have disapeared from the original universe other wise & they have not !!

Shiva is an enemy yes, and it wasnt friendly training, he had a complex surgery and started to train again and to get his combat skills back on top he "hired" SHiva and she sent a bunch of dudes to fight him. go to www.darkknight.ca and read those storylines, they have descriptions of a bunch of bat storylines.

You know dude that it would actually help a bit if you read a Bat-book once in a while.

This is the story of Bruce Wayne regaining his abilities (Dr. Kinsolving, through her psychic abilities, healed his back). Even though he fully regained his physical prowess and strength, he lost the ability to use force. This was regained by re-visiting Lady Shiva, an expert in the martial arts, and a killer. Lady Shiva tested Bruce Wayne's abilities by sending many enemies against him, and was only satisfied when Bruce appeared to have killed someone, which she felt was the breaking of the man. Bruce tricked her, and then returned to reclaim the mantle of the Bat from Jean Paul Valley, who had really gone over the edge. Jean Paul Valley was no longer Batman, but neither was Bruce Wayne.Bruce was not ready to be Batman again, and Tim was too young and inexperienced to assume the role, so Bruce asked Dick Grayson, his "Prodigal Son," to become Batman. Dick was Batman for some time, and finally, several months later, Bruce became Batman again. This only happened after Bruce re-evaluated his motivations for being Batman. Batman is darker than ever now.

Yes but what motivated Shiva to train Bruce ? What was in it for her ? What was her incentive ?

So she could kill him afterwards. She wanted a fair fight.

If she was training Bruce Wane, she knows Batman's secret identity, right ?

Batman went through some extensive physical therapy. I think his doctor was some sort of meta-human who was able to heal his injuries.

Batgirl technically "killed" Lady Shiva. Batgirl figured out that Lady Shiva wanted to experience "death" and challenged Batgirl knowing that Batgirl was her equal. Lady Shiva did escape. Don't know where she currently is.

Shiva didn't train batgirl, all she did was but her hand to cassandra's head and boom she could fight again.

Batgirl killed Lady Shiva ... where did that take place ???

If your refering to BG .. issue # 25 ... I hate to tell you, but it was the other way around Shiva helped restore BG's ability to read body movment .. under the condition that they fight to the death one year later ... Shiva TECHNICALLY killed BG with a nerve punch of some sort and brought her back to life with another such punch .. they then fought to a total stalemate punching each others lights out.

NOW .....

I know Robin once almost killed Shiva, because he was under the influence of something called the "spice" which basically made him move faster than Shiva was able to handle, but he did CPR on her once he figured out what he had done and since he didn't want anyone to die by his hand, not even her.

This debt to him was repaid later when it was revealed that Shiva was the "Paper Monkey" the head of clan of martial artists ... Conner Hawke (Green Arrow II) fought Shiva to a near stalemate but just as Shiva was about to kill him with a "leopard blow" Robin interviened and reminded her that she owed him. Shiva spared Conner. Shiva also told Tim that they would meet much later when he was grown and that on that day one of them would die.
