Name Change....

It's a bit silly in my opinion. What was wrong with Jake? Maybe they're trying to get the names to rhyme.... Even so.... Sheesh :)

It bothers me that the only thing that's different between his first and last names is one letter. He's like the Christina Christian of BoP (and really, just as pretty;) ). Personally, I think they should've stuck with Jake, this double 'eese' 'esse'
thing just isn't sitting right with me.

I agree, though apparently they were gonna go with Jesse to begin with, then changed to Jake, and now back to Jesse again...Geez, its only a name lol

I think they should have stuck with Jake. But, I don' think Jesse is that bad. It is nice, I like it. ;)

Also, you pronounce Jesse, 'J-E-SS-E', so his name really doesn't rhyme. *hehe* It would sound really weird if it was pronounced 'J-EE-S, though. :eek:

Really though, it doesn't matter. It's like Scully and Mulder on the X-Files and most cop/law enforcement characters. You end up calling them by there last name most of the time anyway. He's still Reese :D

Jesse or Jake....a Reese by any other name may not have the demons that this character will have to deal with.

I think Shemar will rise to the occassion and show good guy Det. Reese will battle his conscience and his families past to help the "Birds" keep New Gotham safe.

I don't care either way. I like them both. Looks like they are sticking with Jesse. Ok, whatever. LOL He's still hot either way. Besides, we will end up calling him Reese anyway, so it doesn't really matter. Now, if they were to go back and forth on who was going to play Jesse/Jake Reese, it'd be a whole different story!

It doesn't matter to me now. I'm used to Jesse Reese now (it doesn't rhyme, at least not to me) but Jake would definitely have been much better. Besides, people always call him Reese. ;P
