Limits on Signature Sizes

We have received numerous emails from Forum members objecting to the length of people's signatures. Long signatures often take excess bandwidth and take a long time to load on some computers.

Thus, we are asking people to voluntarily REDUCE the length and size of their signatures. If you have a large picture in your signature, please either reduce it or delete it.

The alternative is that we shut off all signatures - which is a step we do not want to have to take.

Yours is fine...I am referring to the sigs which take up 1/3 of an entire page with pictures of rock groups, race cars, movie stars or huge gold lettering! You know who you are!

Another option if you have several banners that you want to post is to keep rotating them. I've got 3 that I like using so I'll keep surprising everyone and rotate :)

Crazy Pete and XyberDAWG, those are both fine. The idea is that the sigs can take up some space...but not 1/3 of a page since it makes the page difficult to load for some users.

It's a place where people can place a quote or a banner, and they appear everytime you post (when they are enabled). They are located on the bottom of your post. You don;t see them now cuz they are turned off :)
