Following the death of his parents Dick Grayson became the protégé of Batman. His natural athletic ability and sharp mind made him and eager pupil for Bruce Wayne. As Robin the Boy Wonder he spent his teen years as the Dark Knight's partner and the leader of the super alliance known as the Teen Titans.

After a falling out with his mentor, Grayson took on the persona of Nightwing and led the Titans in that guise until recently returning to Gotham. His friendship with Bruce Wayne was restored after a long estrangement culminating with Grayson standing in as Batman for a short period. On a mission ordered by Batman to nearby Blüdhaven, Nightwing uncovered a deep criminal conspiracy headed by Desmond (Blockbuster). The corruption in this depressed coastal city was so pervasive that Grayson elected to stay on and make the 'Haven his (and Nightwing's) home. He recently joined the Blüdhaven P.D. as a rookie police officer in order to work from the inside to destroy the twisted crime machine that rules his adopted city. Nightwing's mask includes a built-in radio transmitter/receiver and Starlite night-vision lenses. His costume is made of Nomex/Kevlar weave and contains a one-use only taser charge.

Nightwing is a master of a half dozen martial arts disciplines with an emphasis on Aikido, as well as being armed with twin escrima sticks made from unbreakable polymer. He carries several dozen modified batarangs along with de-cel jumplines and gas capsules.

I can't wait to see this character :D

Terry was trained very well by his father.since he discovered the batcave. His skill as a detective are second only to his father.


Terry is also very athletic. He has spent most of his time reading books and lifting weights when he wasn't needed in his time. He was trained in Martial Arts by both Nightwing, and Huntress. Terry is also an excellent gymnast.


Terry is very independant, and does his best at whatever it is he tries to do. He must learn to work as part of a team, and that he is not the only defender of Gotham anymore. He is very loyal to Dick, Jesse, and Robin(Steph) and will protect them no matter what circumstances come up. Terry is also smart, as even though he quit school, he didn't quit learning. He read whatever book, or novel he could possibly find, and has tried his hand at chemistry more than once. He prides himself on his skills, but always feels he can improve them to better help YJ.


Powers and Weapons
All of Terry's powers are derived from his bat suit. In his cowl, there is a transceiver, and a face filter that allows him to work without a gas mask, etc. altogether. He also has lenses that include, magnification, night vision, and telescopic vision.


Terry also has neuro-muscular amplifyers that allow him to lift 2-3 tons without straining. He also has superhearing via his index and middle finder on either hand. Terry (unlike the other members of the batfamily) also has the abiltiy to glide and/or fly via wings and boot jets. The wings come out of his arms. Terry also has gloves that create his batarangs, so that he never runs out of them, or grappling lines.


Utility belt: Contains explosive and gas batarangs that detonate on impact, also various devices such as lock picks, mini torch, etc.


Nightmobile: The nightmobile is the perfect cross between the batmobile and batwing. It has all the capabilites of both, and a few surprises for when things get too hectic.

His sister Jesse, also a superhero is named Quick, maybe she'll appear too, she was named after her mother.

I have never heard of Nightstrike before. That must be from some crazy what-if story? :confused:

Hopefully, for this series, "Nightstrike" is actually Nightwing/Dick Grayson and not another child of a former crime-fighting hero. I would love to see him become a regular part of this show! There is so much they can do with the addition of his character. Especially with the history between him and Barbara.

It would make the most sense for Nightstrike to simply be a renaming of Nightwing, which would definitely give a lot of dramatic fuel to the show, given the past relationship between Nithgwing and Batgirl...

the name nightstrike and the description from above is a character created for an online RPG, by one of the players, he isn't DC continuity, but he may be a renaming of nightwing, i almost hope not though, i'd like em to get the names right at least...

Yup, I agree. What if "Nightstrike" is just the name of the episode?? Let's hope they don't rename him, but either way, it will be awesome to have him on the show.

I think its already been said that he is not just a renaming of Nightwing, and the producers do hope to bring Dick in some day.
