View Full Version : I got us a mention (sorta) in the UK SFX magazine!
I emailed them over two months ago and they finally put me in ther magazine today... in the SFX "whaf box" which is basically where they put the letters they don't want to print.
I'm third or fourth down and it says:
"Neil V. Cyberspace (who would like you to visit www.birdsofpreyonline.com);"
I've scanned the image in but I'm having HUGE server problems for my site at the moment. So I can't show it to you yet, but I will post it when my host has decided if they want to let me login and if they want my site to still be there! It would be nice if they told me what's wrong.

Could you type here the letter that you wrote and send to SFX?Will be great!! For me it's impossible get that magazine here...
I don't have a copy of the original email sorry. I basically replied to an article they printed about the show being over stating about the campaign to bring the show back and I mentioned my campaign to get the show on TV here in the UK.

Thanks, I hope you can later upload the image... CONGRATULATIONS!!! IT'S A BIG EFFORT!!!!
I'm working on a new host for my site now so I will try and get something online as soon as I can.
I was hoping for more results than I got so I'm willing to have another go. It just reminded me that there was a huge feature on this site in a UK sci-fi magazine and I'm not sure if any of the webmasters have mentioned it.
here's the scan:

Neil: That URL takes me right back to this webpage.
interesting.... it does the same for me. Must be a host thing, I knew free webz sounded too good to be true.
Lisa did you know about the article on this site that was in a UK magazine? if you would like me to scan that also I will.
http://www.freewebs.com/birdsofpreyuk/index.htm if you go to that link then it should hopefully load a page with a link to the scan on it!
PLEASE LET IT WORK!

Three Bat-cheers for Neil!
Did anyone notice the EXTREMELY SMALL mention in the new issue of SCI-FI Mag? A pic of Dina and BOP mentioned once by name at the beginning of the article. The new issue has (UGH!) Susan Sarandan on the front.
