Helena and Dinah woke up chained to a wall. But they weren't alone, not only were they chained up but Barbara was in a chair with chains wrapping around her middle to the chair.
Helena's eyes changed, a little too late for that now, Helena thought.
There was footsteps coming. A man stood there crossing his arms.
"Adam?" Barbara asked.
Blackaver shook his head and frowned. "Hardly."
Suddenly, Adam walked in and saw them chained to the wall. "Andy, no, no. You've gone way too far this time." Adam walked to the wall and then straight to Barbara.
Barbara glared death in his eyes. "Get away from me."
There was a click behind Adam. "Listen to the lady, and back off." Adam stood straight and held his arms in the air.
"I'm sorry," Adam replied.
Andy grabbed Adam by the collar. "Get to the wall, I got a spare bullet for you bro." He pushed him to the wall and chained him up.
Dinah turned her face to Adam. "So it was you all along?"
Adam made a face. "Hardly."
Barbara turned to Andy. "What do you want?"
Andy shook his head. "Uh-uh, not gonna tell ya."
Adam sighed. "Our Grandfather died in WWII and so did Kalderash and he wants revenge."
"Have to say that was blown to hell when Adam found my room and dared to tell on me. . .
"But, he decided not to when I dared to kill his Ms. Gordon," Andy said nastily. "Oh, and dear brother. Did you know that Ms. Barbara Gordon is the Oracle?"
Adam turned his head. "What?"
"Yeah, you remember the stories. Of the vigilantes in New Gotham," Blackaver began. "Of the prevogative Huntress, all knowing Oracle, and Black Canary two. Love them stories."
"So you are from around here," Barbara guessed.
Andy shook his head. "Nah, born and raised in Metropolis like he said. I just brought him here when I discovered that when we were born my mother took Adam and I was raised by our father here."
"Which I am glad, because our father was a complete sociopath!" Adam responded.
Andy hit him in the face. "Ah, shut up. Anyway, so I decided to punish the Kalderash killers.
"No let me think . . ."
Adam interrupted. "Don't hurt yourself."
Andy hit him in the face again. "Shut up! I don't know if I should use my rifle, the rest of the C4, another pipe bomb, or a smoke inhiliation bomb, kill ya when you breathe in too much."
"Sounds messy," Helena responded.
"I don't remember asking you to butt in, Huntress," Andy said nastily.
Adam glared, concentrating hard, he looked at Andy. "Hey, genius!"
Andy turned to look at his brother. Adam's eyes glowed green. "What the hell?"
"Never lock up a Romani," Adam said, he pulled the chains out of the wall.
"What the hell are you?"
"I'ma Kalderash, just like you remember?" Adam asked.
Andy concentrated too, his eyes glowed green also. Adam kicked him in the head. From their green, green eyes, beams shot at each other.
Adam twirled around and shifted his weight and kicked Andy in the face.
Andy fell to his knees. Before Adam kicked him again, he held up his hands. "Help me, brother. Help me take back what's ours."
Adam put his foot down. "You want me to fight back for what's mine?"
Andy nodded warily. Adam's eyes went normal. "Than gimme my face back!" He kicked Andy in the face. Andy skidded to the corner. Adam ran to Barbara and went to the back of the chair.
"Nice Romani powers," Dinah said.
Adam concentrated hard. Green beams fell to the chain. "Damn, bimetallic. Containing two metals, hard to break."
"I know what bimetallic means," Barbara replied.
Adam finally broke them and went to the front, he pulled off the chains.
In the corner, Andy found his gun and grabbed it. I'll make you pay, Adam, he thought. He turned around, he saw his brother trying to free his Barbara Gordon. He pointed his gun. His finger felt for the trigger.
"Pop goes the weasel, brother," he whispered. Then he pulled it, a loud bang was heard in his lead basement.
"Adam!" Barbara yelled.
Adam fell to his back. He felt excrusiating pain. He concentrated with all his strength on Dinah's and Helena's chains. Another set of green shots aimed at the chains, they shot through the metal like darts. Helena and Dinah pulled their chains off.
Adam turned to Barbara. "I'm sorry." Then the light in his green eyes dimmed and then slowly went out. His eyes closed and he exhaled his last breath.
Barbara watched as he died. "No. . ."
Helena kicked the gun out of his hands, Andy concentrated on his hands, the familiar heat came to his hands. But this time, his hands caught on fire. It didn't hurt him, but they could hurt Dinah and Helena.
"So that's how you burned the Kalderash emblem on the bodies," Barbara managed to choke out.
"Very observative of you," Andy said. He tried to kick Helena, she blocked it and hit him in the face. She shifted her weight and brought her left foot to his face. She backed off.
Dinah used her telekinesis and he flew to the wall. He fell to the foot of the wall unconscious.
After Adam was sent to the morgue and Andy to Arkham, the three of them stood on the familiar balcony over looking the city.
"All he wanted was revenge," Helena remarked.
"If only he knew Barbara's famous quote on revenge, that might of changed his mind," Dinah said, trying to get her in a lighter mood.
"Even though I said we all lose people, about the risk. I guess, I'll never get used to it," Barbara replied.
"No one will ever get used to death," Helena responded.
"All he wanted was my forgiveness, his last words were telling me sorry," Barbara said.
"Maybe he wanted to make sure that you aren't sad," Helena said. "Pretty poetic."
That night, Barbara was lying in her bed. Her hand lay open on her pillow. Light appeared in front of her, Adam stood there. He took his Kalderash necklace and put it in her hand.
Barbara's eyes fluttered open. "Adam?"
Adam smiled and his eyes softened. Then he disappeared in another ball of light.

But, Helene is dangerous. She has taken her sister's job as a cat burglar. Barbara is a little shaky on Helene's trustworthy since she is a criminal.
Helene is a criminal in a house of crime fighters and yet she is calm. Her history with the criminals that Barbara herself hates such as Joker and Harley Quin makes Barbara mistrust her even more.
Helena wants to know about the other side of the family, Dinah doesn't know who to side with. The Family Ties with Helena and Helene are pitting one Bird against another.
