The WB! has scored a hit with its new live-action TV series Birds of Prey! Now the comic-book inspiration for the show receives its second pulse-pounding collection with BIRDS OF PREY: OLD FRIENDS, NEW ENEMIES — a 224-page trade paperback reprinting the BIRDS OF PREY: WOLVES and BIRDS OF PREY: BATGIRL one-shots, plus the first six issues of the BIRDS OF PREY ongoing series!

Written by Chuck Dixon (BATGIRL: YEAR ONE, Way of the Rat) with art by Greg Land (NIGHTWING, Sojourn) and Drew Geraci (NIGHTWING), OLD FRIENDS, NEW ENEMIES reintroduces readers to Vicious, Termina and Pistolera, who — combined with their leader, international terrorist/assassin Cheshire — form the villainous Ravens! Also: Watch as Black Canary fends off dinosaurs in one adventure and Kobra's minions in another while Oracle avoids detection by the U.S. Army!

Wrapped in a new cover by Brian Stelfreeze, this thrill-packed volume combines all the high-octane action, espionage and characterization that exemplify why Birds of Prey is a hit in any medium.

BIRDS OF PREY: OLD FRIENDS, NEW ENEMIES is a 224-page trade paperback, arriving in comic-book stores January 2 with a cover price of $17.95 U.S.

Sounds cool. Is this the one that they are talking about on the main page at http://www.birdsofpreyonline.com/news.php?article=341 or is this a different one?

This is different I believe. The one Dick is talking about it re-printing issues of the original DC comic. The one on the main page is a new comic based on the tv show. :)

That's what I thought. But I might check it as well.
Thanks.

I just bought this one today, read the two one-shots and so I'm onto the collected 6 issues. Seems pretty good so far although I'm not sure about this dinosaur storyline. The one-shot with Batgirl is very good!

Oh my God!!!!!!!

I got it for free from DC!! It's so good!!!! I love the part when in "Long Time Gone" in the beginning when Dinah Says:

No.... NO! TAKE IT AWAY!! IT'S TOO HORIBLE!

And Oracle Reply's : It's just a computer Dinah.

I was dieing!!! And I can't believe... well I could... that Oracle single handly took down Spell Binder!! That was the bomb!

And Batgirl teaming up with Dinah... even though it wasn't the real Dinah was hot! I love this book! This is one of my favs!!

And that HellHound guy got on my nerves! There was alot of twist and turns that I enjoyed from reading it... It reminded me of the show alot! And Dinah could kick The Ravens tail any day!!!! :D

With all that said I think my most fav part of the comic was when Oracle took down that Drew guy and his crew! This comic ROX!! just like the show!!

I got a new quote for myself from the book too!

Oracle: Well you know.. I'm a mouse potato.

BOP ROX!! :D

If you guys liked this graphic novel, you have to check out the first one. It's just Birds of Prey.

It includes the first time Oracle and Black Canary work together, AND the series Manhunt with Huntress, Canary, Oracle, and Catwoman. Very cool.

Yes I have that one too!!

It rocked hard!! Seeing Catwoman, Huntress, and Black Canary team up to take down a man that has cross the path of all their loves lives (cept for Catwoman she wants money :D ) was pure genius!!

Yeah, that's a very good TPB right there. Near impossible to find offline, but worth buying. Hopefully I'll get the Second one that I won off of eBay soon enough to see if it lives up to all this hype here. Here's hoping.
