Barbara's mother!

Hi,
I know that Com. Gordon is Barbara's father, But I never heard anything mentioned about her mother. Not on the this show but in cartoons and the movie didn't help since she was believed to be Alfred's niece.
Can someone provide me with some info. about her mother? Or at least a web site where I could find out more?

As far as I know, from what I've read from the comics, Barbara did have a mother but her role was not truly explored in great detail as her father, Commissioner James Gordon was. I hope that helps in some small way. :)

In an interview a while back, Dina Meyer said there was a chance Commissioner Gordon would be appearing in the show :) Nothing about her mother though.....

Well, it would be very interesting to see who would play Commissioner Gordon. I don't hav a clue about who it would be but I hope it would be someone who can be looked upon as a fatherly type actor.

It was rumored that Barbara found out that she was adopted, but she never knew who her biological father was. For two seconds i thought she was the daugther of a very famous Bat.

Commisoner Gordon's brother married some woman. Commisioner Gordon had sex with that woman. Brother Gordon and Mrs. Gordon assumed it was Brother Gordon's daughter. Brother Gordon and Mrs. Gordon died. Commisioner Gordon and his wife, Barbara Gordon Sr., adopted her, not knowing Barbara II was Commisioner's daughter. Barbara Sr. divorced Commisioner, then Commisioner married Sarah Essen, who was later killed by the Joker. And that's the story.

Wow I had it all wrong(which is normal). Now I dont have to keep wondering about it. I have been trying to figure this out for years. :)Thanks for the info.:)
