**possible spoilers, be warned**

Ok, I've heard the rumours, so I'm curious about what everyone else thinks. Is Dinah the Black Canary or not? I know in the books she's meant to be VERY different to Dinah (far more physical, bit like Huntress). So is Dinah the Black Canary?

I've also heard a rumour that a casting call went out for the Black Canary for a later episode and that Dinah could in fact be her daughter?!?

Anyone? :)

So we can believe she is Black Canary. Yet again, IMDB is sometimes wrong.

Hmm, I'm sure I heard that casting calls had gone out for the Black Canary character. Oh well, have to wait and see

'Helena' is right. You could read our spoilers section, which gives a little info on BC and Dinah in the show/comic book and a possible explanation. Maybe new member Tanker will concur, given s/he has read the comic books (see the book forum).

She probably is. So the next question is... will the BC actual turn up. All I've heard is there may be a dream sequence :)

She does show up yes at some point, rumoured to be in "Slick" though thats not confirmed. It might perhaps be in "Prey For The Hunter" or "Sins Of The Mother". We shall have to wait and see.

It'll be revealed in "Sins of the mother" the actress playing Black Canary is Lori Loughlin of Full House fame. That's what I've heard.

Gee, the black canary's comic book real name is probably going to be her daughter's real name? Does anybody see a problem here besides me? I mean even Huntress is not Batman's daughter in the comic book, there is no New Gotham, and do they even have metahumans??

In the comic both Black Canary's were named Dinah. But they changed Black Canary I's name from Dinah to Diana to avoid confusion. He he!! :fume:

I have a question regarding Dinah's character in the BoP TV series. All of the BoP TV sites I've seen list her as Dinah Lance, but it's been revealed that her records list her as Dinah Redmond. Why don't any of the BoP sites out there list her by that name?

They may have made that name up. Perhaps her mom gave her a fake last name so no one could trace Dinah back to her.

In the show's universe :

Carolyn Lance (Lori Loughlin) had a daughter, Dinah (Rachel Skarsten), but she gave the child up after six years. Dinah ended up with one or several foster families, including the Redmonds.

Yup! That is exactly what was just revealed in "Sins of A Mother" Or... whatever it was called!! Awesome episode... Black canary kicked ass!

Not anymore. I complained to them and they changed it to "Dinah Redmond".
