Ok folks, got a few things to get off my chest. Please note that I love this show and really want it to suceed. However here are my rants:

1. Too much attention on huntress-this show as of now could be called huntess and her amazing friends!do not get me wrong,I love ashleys acting and her character but it seems that she is the center of attention. I know its been only 3 episodes but every one has been about her. I want more babs and dinah. I mean come on they start to develop a major subplot with babs and wade and his parents treat her like crap and we do not get to see the scene its just casually mentioned as a throwaway! very sloppy folks. As for poor dinah what are they going to do with this poor girl. She has no flashy type of superpowers like huntress and seems relagated to standing around looking worried. I love rachel skarsten and would love to see her do more than just be a junior league sidekick. As for dina it seems the producers are content to make her the mother hen of the team and thats about it. Oh yeah she is on the computer alot to.HELLO...she can still kick butt even being paralyzed!what about all the nifty gadgets she has created to fight crime!come on folks lets get babs out of the clocktower and into a little more action.

2. Reese-ok I like shemar moore he is doing the best he can but really how did this guy get to be a big league detective in gotham but he can not find out huntresses identity? Wake up man she does not wear a mask!how hard could it be? Also he has never heard of batman..yeah right. Were is commisioner gordon?Surely somebody on the gotham pd has heard of batman...I mean yeah he is an urban legend but you figure with the joker running around killing people that someone saw or viewed batman taking him on.

3. lets not get carried away with metas-look I think the meta idea is cool but there are other villians out there besides people born with a mutant gene. lets not turn this into a meta villian of the week thing. lets create unique villians who use gadgets or maybe are supernatural based.

Look I know its early in the show and that we do not know what the producers have planned but...I love this show and want it to be the best it can be. There are things I love about the show, the chemistry betwwen the 3 leads is fantastic, the look of the show is awesome and its never boring! This show is great escapist entertainment and believe me we need that now more than ever in this cynical world we live in. I do not want to compare this show to others like biffy and angel or even smallville because its a unique show on its own. however I really hope that birds of prey will have subplots carried on throught the season and I would not mind seeing the show end on cliffhanger endings like they do on alias. I mention all these things because I hope the producers take some of the fans ideas to heart and maybe use them.after all we the birds of prey fans are the ones keeping the show alive. I would love to hear from all you preyers out there about what I have said. I love this website and think all you who are part of this site are very intelligent and have a great zest for life and the message of the show, which is be your own person, never be ashamed of who you are!

Thanks for your time and keep the birds flying high!!!

Great show though, can't complain about that... more is focused on the huntress though, which is a shame cause the rest of the cast need more screen-time, to develop their characters. Things are changing though, with Dinah's mother appearing soon, and Lady Shiva trying to get Babs, so things look great:D

Babs, will be fighting soon, I assume, since the trading card of her at the WB, shows her holding 2 stick-type-weapons. Maybe it's some sort of martial art developed somewhere... So I'm assuming she'll get out of the clocktower more often

Love BOP:)

I agree - more Barbara, a bit less Huntress. The writers have to finish the subplots as well - the whole Wade's parents subplot was poorly summed up in 2 sentences and the Dinah at school subplot was just dropped. I hope that the Dinah school subplot will be continued in future episodes since her problems at fitting in will not disappear.

i think the reason they focus on the huntress is to keep the batman connection front and center
the huntress and her family connections have been mentioned in the ad campaigns for all 3 episodes so far
there barbara centered episodes coming up however lady shiva for one

well 3 episodes ain't really considered too much huntress (since i believe that it'll get it's full season of 20+ eps), merlin has a point, the wb is cashing in on batman fans which is why the connection has to stay fresh for a while.

Even though we do see a lot of huntress, the most talked about episode will be of Dinah's and her mother. A poster is even made to advertise that episode so i don't think the producers and writers are neglecting the other characters, it's just that it's always hard to write 3 lead stories instead of just 1 per episode.

Love the show. Love ashley "forgive me, I'm a bit biased".

BTW is it me or did Rachel look a bit chubbier in the 2nd episode compared to the first?

while the "prey for the hunter" episode was good, it was poorly cut. the writters are really good at writting the everyday relationship stuff, like "barbara, your chaneling june cleaver, and not on a school night, but they seem to think that the view wants all action. I hope they don't give in and conyinue with the great relationships. too many "teen" shows have too grown up teenagers and the budding mother daughter relationship between barbara and dinah , and the one helena and barbara have form over the last 7 years , is an interesting thing to explore. plus helena and dinah have this great sisters thing coming out.
