Looks like SOMEBODY thought that the SuperWoman-look from The Crime Syndicate was happening....

You know I never made that connection .. and I just bought the Superwoman Action Figure for my collection ... but your absolutely right ... its a total knock off ... OR ... could this be the Superwoman from the Crime Syndicate .. just a younger stage of life brought over from the Pre-Crisis Universe ???

What exactly did DC say? I haven't heard a word.....

They haven't said anything .. this new version of Supergirl is a total mystery .. as a matter of fact this is only her 2nd appearance ... her first being in the last panel of the Superman 10 cent adventure ... so we are just now discovering what going on with her.

She claims Superman is her father ... and she knows that Clark is Superman .... and get this ... that Lois is her MOTHER !! In the last panel of the book when the new SG calls Lois mother it shows Lois spitting up her coffee all over Clark.

She is a new supergirl, but the thing is Linda did agree to return with Hal/Spector so she is still in her title, that is she is still Supergirl in Supergirl.

D ... Supergirl was canceled .... the last issue was # 80 and it showed Clark reading a letter from Linda saying she basically was fed up with being Supergirl and asking him not to try to find her anymore ... so while she is still around she doesn't want to be SG anymore.

Weather that will change remains to be seen.

If that double helix around her is any clue, she's a clone.

And also, her name is Cir-El, which, according to the Kryptonian naming system, would be how a male is named. A female child of Kal-El with a first name of Cir would be Cir Kal-El, just as Kara, daughter of Zor-El, is Kara Zor-El.

Since the sheep Dolly... everyone could have a clone... be aware.
Can you imagine a clone of Levin???

Is everyone still going on about Levin-hating here? How nostalgic.

Some things never change....

Thats right .. but remember the original Kara donned a head band which is a male symbol of Kryptonian citizenship .. yes I know were talking pre crisis golden age .. but I don't know if the naming system survived John Byrne's revamp several years ago ... the only Sups book I read was Supergirl.

So I would hvae to field that question out.

In the Return to Krypton storyline, Jor-El says, "Your mother was Lara Lor-Van".

I guess it did then ... following that logic though that would make this version of Supergirl a Superboy ... oh lord another drag queen LOL

I guess they will explain it sooner or later.

Obviously the supidity of either the writers or the people that cloned her.

It could be an honest mistake on the writers part ... though I would put more of the blame on the editors for not catching it ... or there could be another explanation coming up .. the charactor was just introduced and we really don't know anything about her yet.

Wait and see what happens before flying off the handle.

All thats happened is that we know she comes from a possible future and is Supermans daughter. And that she is not Lois's daughter. The last one with her got very annoying, with all the time things.
