i have noticed over the past few weeks of looking at posted pics of the series (coz i haven't been able to watch it yet) and especially int he pictures recently posted of "the sins of the mother" that this show looks really really brightly lit and overly colorful is this in fact the case or was it just that the publicity stills were of very brightly lit shots? if this show is as gaudy and godawful as these photos look i for one will be somewhat disappointed. this is a series about dark characters and a dark city, brightly orange lit scenes are a no-no surely.

a bit of info about the tone of the series would be greatly appreciated...

man the clocktower set looks really bad now in comparison to how it looked in the pilot....orange benchtops?

the darkeness is feeling queasy and ...

I think they are trying to bring the light in a bit too, I personally am glad (even if it is just the press shots) that its not totally dark or they'd look awful. They use the sunset, and neon lights etc to splash light in places but a lot of the time it is still dark.

so long as that's all, i mean, the show is meant to be about people who do most of their work at night in the dark...the dark knight.... i can see what they're trying to do, but for pity's sake, please keep it dark. we don't want this show looking like TMNT the next mutation, or *shudder* the old batman series. bat shark reppelant indeed...
though i'm glad to hear that there are homages to the old batman stuff (the shakespeare bust/door opener)

i hope that they realise that comics are not all bright colors...
anyway...

True statement, darke2099, but have you seen Batman: Year One, the comic? A lot of it is surprisingly colourful.
