View Full Version : Six Flags Inc. To Purchase Birds of Prey-Themed Roller Coaster

Now, this is not comfirmed, but I did get it from a very reliable source. Through my dealing with coaster fanatics (like myself) I was told this: Six Flags Inc. (who owns rights to AOL Time Warner, who owns rights to DC) is looking into themeing Birds Of Prey for their next coaster.

SPECULATION: They'll use the WB's plot line (because that's what the public is more exposed to) but (this is speculation) respect DC characters (they usually give bios on large signs in the queue line..)

The coaster is said to be wanted for one of SFI's key parks:

Six Flags over Texas, in Arlington, Texas
Six Flags Great America, in Gurnee, Illinois
Six Flags Great Adventure, in Jackson, NJ
or
Six Flags Magic Mountain, in Valencia, California (please no!)

Although it'll be DC-oriented, when (and if) this goes down, it'll be great publicity for us.

Damn, I want to say SFoT (it's been my home park for 10 years) but I'm moving to Chicago in 4 days, so go SFGAm!

SOOOOO............. IF YOUR SOURCE IS CORRECT YOUR SAYING THEIR ONLY GONNA PUT THE BOP COASTER IN THE PLACES LISTED ABOVE OR IN EVERY SIX FLAGS IN AMERICA?

I interpreted that as it's going to be in one of the parks kryptonite785 listed (here's hoping it's Great Adventure).

Yes, it'll only be in one, to start. But, as we all know SFI, if the BoP coaster does well, they'll clone it and put it in every Six Flags Property in the world :)

It would be great if that would happen. It would get me to go to a six flags again. Though the closest one to me would be Six Flags Great America. But considering they already have the Batman ride and the Mr. Freeze ride...why not!

Oh Great America does not have Mr. Freeze. Oh well you can tell its not the six flags I go to then! :)

Ah I remember the really long lines when the Batman ride open! Oh yeah those were the days!

I've been to six flags in california(the one in valencia) and it was cool. I hope they do bop in Six ***s over Georgia b/c I want to go there sometime this summer...

I've never been to six flags. I've always gone to cedar point (GO MILLENNIUM FORCE!!) but now it looks like I'll have to go to SF.

i am hoping for six flags over texas!! then i would be up there everyday, i am a coaster junkie anyway, i will ride any coaster anywhere. its an adrenaline(sp?) thing.

I hope so, even if Six Flags: Darien Lake has 5 roller coasters already!
