Hi ppl, i know everyone was asking for the Birds of Prey font, so i took the time to do 'my version' of the font.

What a coinkydink! I did my own as well! A few minor differences, though. I just don't have the knowledge or software to get it here.

it took me a while, just to learn how to make it in .ttf format, but after that, was very easy. i would like to see yours.

Wow! The fabled Birds of Prey font everyone's been asking for! I've been chastised by the moderators many a time for telling all the people that start a topic that says "how do you get the birds of prey font" to shut up, but now that won't be a problem anymore, because the solution is here!

As I said, prey, there are only minor diffs. Just an example: the capital T for mine faces to the left. Nothing that is a major diff. :D

well, i don't think you're gonna use it to write a letter, is more for grafics stuff, so i don't think that's really a problem

ok, now the server where i uploaded the font, was having some troubles, now you can download it, you just have to click that link and then just click save - or whatever - where your computer keeps the fonts files

Thanks for posting those links Frostbite - yes, I did clean house with all those old font threads. It seems I missed a few. Thanks! I just deleted a few more of them.

Prey - why couldn't I use your font in Publisher? It doesn't seem to recognize it as a true type font.

Which version are you running? It shows up as "Unofficial BOP Font" in my copy of Publisher 98.

I guess it's not compatible with Windows XP because I can't use it in Word either. :( Thanks to Kazaa, I have the latest versions... :D

Any ideas why the font wouldn't work there?

Okay, the font works. Want to know why? Because every time I tried to find the font "BOP", which is what the file name is called, the font is not in the list. Well I looked further down the list and there it was, called "Unofficial" bop font. DOH!

And Frostbite, yes, your post count did go down... and don't you even think about spamming to make it climb again! :p

I just downloaded it (a week ago i think) and it is great and not illegible at all... though it is better when it is viewed at a higher text size.

I don't know about everybody else, but I needed to put the font in the Fonts folder in my Control Panel for it to register in programs like Word and PowerPoint.

Go to "Control Panel", select "Appearance and Themes", click on the "Fonts" category on the left-hand side. When you bring up the fonts, click on "File" and then "Install New Fonts". :)

AshDinaRachLvr - obviously you didn't read my second post on Page 3 - please go back and read it. You'll see it, it's the one with me using the blushing icon.

As for everyone else, you don't need to 'install' the font. You just have to drag it to the fonts folder which can be found in the following path:

My computer/C drive/Windows (folder) and you will then see the fonts folder in that list. Drag the font in there.

I have a problem in downloading the font.
It starts downloading it as bop.tff... but than it changes to redigir.html and it isn't a font anymore! :shrug:

Or you could go to DaFONT.com (http://www.dafont.com) and search for "Birds of Prey". It's the same exact font (HP submitted it). :)

thanks for the font! :) i got some of my friends to evaluate it and they had some reservations of the letters "k" and "h" . but i told them its the birds of prey font and nothing else matters. thanks again

I was at Boscov's today and I saw this t-shirt in the little boy's section that said "My Name is Trouble, and I've Earned It". I swear that the word "Trouble" was in this font, but I don't have a picture or any proof. Did anyone else see this? My eyes nearly popped out of my head.
