Does anyone know what kind of company it is? I know WayneTech is the technology branch, but what does Wayne Enterprises itself do?

ITs my understanding that Wayne Enterprises manages all the different branches of several different companies ... so the short answer is basically its the Management Division.

But the feilds in general that WE is involved in are

Construction
Property Management
Real Estate
Medical Reasearch
Technology Development

as well as several philenthropic and charitable organizations.

I am in total agreement with Jesse, and add that there are just to many branches to list them all.

Or maybe none of the writers are in agreement as to what it does.

I'm sure that some of the writers come up with new divisions on the fly when a new one is needed ... the fields that I listed are the ones that I know for a fact have been used or talked about in stories that I've personally read.

I could swear I also read Wayne Construction in No Man's Land .. I think it was when Bruce was pitching the idea of rebuilding Gotham .. I'm not 100 % sure it was there .. but I remember it being mentioned somewhere.

Hmm... I wonder why the DPGTGC didn't mention it.

It could be another one of those divisions that ws just made up during No Man's Land as we discussed before, maybe your guide was printed before NML ??

No, it was printed after. Lots of references are made, especially in the Lodging section. It's like, "Before the No Man's Land declaration, the Gotham Arms Hotel was quite possibly the best hotel available for the business traveler. But if the last time you visited the city was a few years ago, you will be in for a shock at the state of this establishment. Reservations are strongly recommended somewhere else."

No idea .. I will have to look around and see where I saw it mentioned. You would think that the writers would have a guide book like this one to use .. sheesh.

With all the dif wayne enterprises, who knows how many businesses he owns and what they do. They could all have many subsids.
