I dont know if someone already did this but WB is making a new Batman series. I dont really feel like writeing all the quotes so maybe someone else could do that. The site is www. Batman HYPE. com. BUT ANYWay there's good news and bad news about it.
Good News:
1.There starting on the series as we speak
2. Batmans going to be more detailed this time. Musles, abs, ect........
3. Its gonna be on either WB KIDS OR CARTOON NETWORK.
Bad News:
1. There stating all over from when Bruce first became Batman.
2. (Til we get to that stage of the series) No side Kicks, Robin, batgirl, nightwing, second robin, ect.....
So what do u guess think of this?????????

I thought he new show was going to be Batman: Wired, in which Bruce wears the suit we see him wearing in the first episode of Batman Beyond.

Wel yea, your right about the title. It is gonna be called Batman: Wired but it did'nt say anything about the Batmanbeyond suit. But then again the site did say something about batmans suit being made of armor. hmmm???????? I'll just have to go back and read hard and close.

as long as we see harley quinn in it i dont care,
she better be in it!!!!!!! and i hope she kicks robotic suited batmans ass
I think the main idea behind this show is to justify the hundreds of Batman action figures in strange outfits that don't really exist in the comic/tv/film continuity.
I'm very sceptical about this show!

The show you're speaking of here is a different show they have in developement besides Batman: Wired. This is sort of a Batman: Year One type of thing, but either this or Wired could be the next Batman cartoon.

If Bruce is wearing the new batman suit that terry is using in Batman Beyod doesnt that mean that he is really old in the new series.
Frostbite
06-24-2003, 11:29 PM
No. If you saw the first episode of Batman Beyond, you would see that Bruce wore the Batman Beyond suit before Terry did.
the_watcher
06-25-2003, 02:50 AM
But the suit in batman Beyond is a new suit that bruce started using after his 50's or so in the first episode. In the remaining Bats Beyond he was in his 70's and Terry was the Bats.
In both cases the suit is for extra endurance and gear, and was created for bruce when he thought that he was getting old so, if there is going to be a series with that suit it must be a near beyond with bruce already having some gray.

Frostbite, there is only one Batman show being made. Yes it is called Batman: WIRED, and thats the only one their making. There's no other one in development. AND it was announced that they were starting from the beginng when Bruce first became batman. Not the batman we see on Justice Leage or older. So no, to answer some of your other questions, its not gonna be some time before batman beyond.
P.S Remember, were just guessing about his suit ya'll. WE dont know if its gonna be like the bbeyond suit, a detailed suit with more showing of batman's musles, or just an armor suit like on his toys.

Frostbite, with that last post you've proven my point exept for now we know its gonna be a suit of armor.
1. Title- Batman: Wired ( only one series )
2. ARMOR SUIT
3. Starting from when Bruce first became Batman

People, people. Fighting or arguing amongst ourselves. As for the armor, what's the big deal. I imagine it's a way of luring more kids and adult fans to the realm of Batman. I'm a fan of what's come before and as far as I'm concerned as long as it's respectful a little tweaking is cool. I haven't read the article yet, but I'm going there now. Long Live The Birds!!!

i agree, i think bringing somthing fresh to it will be a good thing
Yeah, don't get me wrong I will atleast tune in for the first episode. I'm just concerned that whoever is producing this show is just doing it to help earn money through action figure sales and that the quality of the show will be sacrificed for a huge blitz of batman toys.
VOXMAN41
06-27-2003, 08:48 PM
Yeah. Over the years I've noticed so many toys, costumes, etc., that were never part of the realm of the Bat. Films, toons or otherwise. If the creators of the animated Bat are the same people, then there's a good chance the series will do well.

Well, even though I have no problem with the new series, we all atleast have alittle bit of the old Batman animated series to look foward to.
1. Batman the animated series still comes on EARLY sunday mornings at 1:00am
2. We can still see our favorite batman darker and stronger on the Justice Leage show:D:D:D
3. And I dont know if you all heard but THERES GONNA BE A NEW BATMAN ANIMATED MOVIE COMING THIS FALL!!!!!!
Its called Batman: Mystery of Batwomen.
Sounds interesting to me and its the original Batman suit:D:D:D
YAY!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that is just one thing about the wb that I am never going to understand. They drop one Batman(oriented) series to pick up another, and start back at the beginning. No wonder BoP didn't get a truck load of viewers!, people had no idea what was going on. " Helena Kyle?...Batmans daughter?...I thought Batman was 8 years old. What? He went through puberty early or something?"
This is going to drive me crazy.

No Wonder BOP Didn't Get A Truckload Of Viewers BOP was easy to follow. Hell the intro to the show explained everything purrfectly I thought. If u really pay attention to all things Batman, you'd know that in comics Huntress was Bruce's daughter from a different reality. And nowadays, just about everything is possible in the Batman mythos. Look at the movies for example. And the two animated movies. Sheesh! How old are some of these people who are constantly bitching anyway? lol

Personally, I'm a litle tired of the Batman and Superman Cartoons. Give me something new like the Teen Titans which will air Saturday..:D Or better yet my personal favorite The Justice Society of America.Would prefer the older version, but would take the current comic book roster...Hey while we are at it how about Birds Of Prey cartoon. Or do what Marvel did with the The Old Marvel Hour. A different hero or group each week.
.All Hail the MMMS..Mighty Marvel Marching Society....wonder how many of you remember that? And remember the theme song.
VOXMAN41

I'm older than you, but I don't remember MMMS or the theme song. And I'll take Bat/Superman toons any time over the current crop of dare I say...gargage that's on TV. LOL Justice Society toon would be F**KIN' awesome! To bad it'll never happen. The Justice Guild was as close as it got. Would love to see a re-vamped version of the Fantastic Four or The Avengers would be great! And I apologize for the shameless plug for Marvel. LOL

Ah the MMMS. The cartoon opened with the song "March along, March along with the Merry Marvel marching society" Had cartoon versions of all marvels heroes at that time just marching in a line across the screen. They were all the old stop action type cartoons.
Yes Justice Society would be F**kin Awsome. Gotta love the Golden Age heroes. Dare I say "DocMidnite" LOL. HourMan, WildCat.
As for Justice Guild. Why don't you just carve my heart out with a spoon. Or to quote Schrek. "sqeeze the jelly from my eyes"
whoops got a little passionate about the JSA there...
The last Avengers cartoon was horrible. No Cap, Iron Man or Thor. AntMan in that horrible costume. ugh. Toys were pretty cool though.

Here's the latest news:
Superhero Hype! first reported in June that Warner Bros. was creating a brand new Batman animated series, which was to feature a young batman and his early years as a superhero. The series was to be titled Batman Wired and feature the caped crusader in a high-tech suit of armor.
Solid word has now reached us that the head of the Cartoon Network cancelled the idea. Instead they are now working on creating a show called The Batman, which will have a slighly older Batman but still take place in his earlier years as the hero.
Stay tuned for more updates on this!I'm not understanding this at all... he's older than usual, but it's supposed to take place earlier in his career?
VOXMAN41
08-16-2003, 05:39 PM
I don't understand that either. What's the freakin' deal? Talk to us Cartoon Network. And PLEASE! Don't make it like the current Teen Titans toon. I'll have to kill myself then.

Actually I know what they mean.
The Batman Wired thing forget that, just think Batman TAS and Batman Beyond the new show for what I was led to believe is after the Batman Gotham Knights (Tim drake and Batgirl series) and before the first episode of Batman Beyond called Rebirth where you first see the middle age bruce wayne when he retires from old age.
Because this first minutes of flashback were as you say "so cool" they decided on the new show.
I still don't know who had the wired idea but if they made it it should also be in this time gap ot it would not have any sense.
The new show if my reading of all this is correct will answer questions that were unanswered in Beyond like why Nightwing went to Bludhaven and never came back to bruce's life anymore, why Barbara got apart from him, how come the Bat suit was so modified, how did the Selina Kyle story get resolved, when did the last apearence of Ras cost the life of Talia and things like that that were only aproached in beyond as things of the past, but that should be explained by the TAS series.
Of course this is only one of the possible readings, but my experience in this things tells me that I probably am not very far from the truth.
VOXMAN41
08-17-2003, 01:45 PM
many thanks my friend for the recent update. some of those unanswered questions would be great to have explanations for. any news on when who and where this new toon will be?
StoyBoy720
08-17-2003, 08:35 PM
The way I read it was that Bruce in "The Batman" would be a little older than the young Bruce in "Wired." Still early in the Batman's career, but not right off the bat (no pun intended there) as it was first planned, and still younger than he was in TAS and GK. Of course I could be wrong with that, that was just how I read it.
Frostbite

Whatever or whenever they do this Batman animated I hope they keep it true to the Batman history. I just saw all three episodes of Justice League called The Savage Time...
Now that is what I call classic........
Not only did it have the new Justice League, it was rich in DC history.
Making appearances:
SteveTrevor
Sgt. Rock and Easy Company
Vandle Savage
The Blackhawk Squadron
There was also a Professor Erskine and when Superman flys through one plane he comes out looking much like the Human Torch....both A definite tip of the hat to Marvel....
The only thing missing was some of the old Justice Society.

NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
Someone else can find the exact quote but i'm just gonna summerize what i read. You can get the information at the Superhero Hype site in the Batman section.
It was announced eairler this summer that Cartoon network is devoping a new bats show with a younger Bruce wayne in his early 20's with a armor made suit called Batman:WIRED. Now Cartoon network has justcancled that idea. Sad right? No, because now CN is working on another Batman cartoon that will be named "THE BATMAN." It will be a older bats but not too far from the Batman Wired bats. He will still be in his 20's but towards the end of them. The series should be due sometime next Fall in 2004.
In other news: Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman will be relesed this october 2-something???? This promises to be interesting to me, exept for the bat woman costum. She looks like a Batman beyond sid kick to me, but everything else is cool. Here's the information:
http://comics2film.com
Also, we can also see Bats in the upcoming 2nd season of Justice Leage airing this October. And this season, from what i read, sounds promising. All DC fans cant miss it.
So there's going to be alot of Batman siteings in the next year!!!!!!! I'm exited about it.

Thats highly unlikely ... think about it .. if the series is set way earlier in Bats career ... first off Dick may not even have started off as Robin .. Babs certainly wouldn't have started off as Batgirl yet, much less as Oracle and lastly Dick didn't leave for Bludhaven until way after he had become Nightwing.
And in the books Babs and Dick are together ... not as together as I would personally like, but they are still trying to work everything out.

Oh nevermind. He acualy looks better in that picture. Much better. The only thing that bothers me is the miss shaped belt. Its kinda crooked.
Other then that the only problem I have with it is the new voices. I'm very used to the other voices we've had for the last decade. Its gonna be hard to get used to the new Joker voice.

Is this series done by the same animation studio that does Teen Titans? Look at those gorilla sized hands! What did they use for a model?

They are all owned by Warner Brothers, but no I don't think so, I'm pretty sure that WB out-sources some of thier animation to various subsidiary companies.
Guys, this is not, repeat NOT another TT disaster !!
Trust me, I've gotten to see some sneak peeks, it's WAY better !!

I would'nt say "disater."
but if its the same animation it would be a disater for batman.

LOL I wouldn't say "disater" either ... I would say D I S A S T E R though.
At least we agree that the style of animation used on TT would most definately not fit Batman.

O MY GOD. DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THE SNEAK PEAK ON WB THIS MORNING OF "The Batman"???!!!!!!
I was sooooooooooooooo wrong about this show. Well acually, I never said I did'nt like it. I just said I did'nt like the idea of the voice changes and the Jokers look. And I still stand on the Joker looks TERRIABLE*spelling* from what i saw on screen.
But ya'll, its nothin like Teen Titans. *Not saying thats a bad thing(shut up jesse;) )* But the animations MUCH better. If you've ever looked at Adult Swim late at night, there a show on there I dont know the name but it looks somthin like that. Batman looks almost exactly like he does in the JLA comics. Believe me people, looking at him on screen makes him look alot better then his promo pics.

I saw that preview... it does look very good, and I did see some style similarities to Big O, and that style does fit Gotham City very well, since Paradigm City has a very gothic feel to it.
This does look to be very good so far and I liked that in the preview it mixed finished cels and line animations to see where it has progressed to.
As for voice work, I can get used to the Joker being a different voice actor... I have played enough Batman videogames that have had different voice acting than B:tAS (in fact, the guy doing Joker in the new series did The Joker in Batman: Dark Tomorrow... too bad the game stunk to high heaven).

The Big O was created by a team that loves Batman and classic robot shows. But Paradigm City is definitely not Gotham City. The premise and design of the show is still unique. The staff were very thorough in achieving that. So Big O stands well on its own merits despite some similar traits.
Also you never hear jazz and blues music in a Batman cartoon anymore.
Still, it's good to hear that this new Batman series is better than Teen Titans. I've given up watching Justice League. If they can't keep my favorite DC hero up to standards, then they're slipping. I wouldn't want to watch Batman Beyond again.
(By the way, a new series of Tetsujin 28 a.k.a. Gigantor is being produced.)

Sorry, Coz. But my schedule is tighter because I'm now working six days a week. The Asian Cartoon Network is taking too long to get the latest episodes and I'm not going to check the schedules. Besides, it's slowly been bothering how much the team doesn't live up to my expectations. The heroes sold out in "A Better World" and acted like jerks in "The Terror Beyond". It's no wonder they're not called the "Super Friends".

I didn't see the preview but I played Dark Tomorrow, and the Joker's voice in that is just dandy.

Can't wait for it. The only thing I've seen for it was the little tv guide thing and it looked pretty cool. Any word on why Mr. Hamill isn't voicing the Joker? just curious.

It is either one of two things:
1) They were unable to schedule Mr. Hamill for committed voiceover sessions
or
2) WB is trying to save some money by not hiring Mr. Hamill for the role, and just hiring him as an occasional VO spot on Justice League (because they still use Kevin Conroy for Batman on that show)
Hope this helps.

My guess: They're starting anew, and do not want to have any connections to the old series.

FB is right, the show is starting from the begining or at least closer to it, so they are starting off with pretty much all new voices.

Does that mean that Kevin Conroy will not voice Batman?

I thought Kevin Conroy hasn't been doing that for a while? A far as I remember, the last time I saw the credits for Justice League, he wasn't the voice talent listed for Bats.

Kevin Conroy is indeed the voice of the Justice League Batman.
