Helena and her mother: Relationship needs to be explored

Does anyone want to know more about the relationship between mother and daughter. We've barely got a peak at it. Batman's her dad, but Catwoman actually raised her and it seems like Selina raised a pretty good kid. If we can interpret anything from Helena's dress and attitude, pre-mom's shooting, she wasn't a bad girl with a rebel streak. Most of the attitude we see now came as a reaction to losing her mother. Do you think we need to see some more of the positives of Selina Kyle/Catwoman? They open every episode with that "Queen of the Criminal Underworld" line and it bothers me, mostly because we never get to see Helena's perspective on her mother. Where are the redeaming qualities of Selina/Catwoman? I hope Sins of the Mother offers us something about that. Seems Dinah's mom had issues with Selina from the preview, perfect oppurtunity for Helena to get defensive.

I agree...I'd like to have a flashback ep where secrets of the Kyle family are revealed...

This is exactly what I have been saying from the very beginning! What I really want to know is how Helena felt when she discovered her mother was Catwoman, Gotham's #1 thief. I would also like Barbara to mention Selina more. She's always talking about Batman this and Batman that. It gets annoying after a while, and I'm sure Helena hates it too. Barbara talks about Batman being this great guy (which he is) but to Helena he was the man he never knew. And I get this feeling that she doesn't want to know him.
I totally agree with you about the flashbacks. I would love to see Catwoman or at least Selina on the show.

I would also like an episode just like that...Just to get a glimpse on how Selina brought up Helena...

I want to know where she learned to fight. She can't be born with those skill...could she? Then again, Guy was...but thats different.

I'm assuming we'll see a little of Helena's take on her mom being a criminal in Sins of the Mother since Carolyn brings it up.

And didn't Barbara train her?

In addition to her perspective on her mother's criminal career, I'd like to see more of her view of her mother as her mother, or as a person in general.

I've been asking this question myself since the show started and I STILL don't have an answer.

Maybe Batman wasn't listen to the news like Barbara was when Selina was killed.

I really like this idea. Some great episodes could be written revealing more about Helena's relationship with her mother.

Maybe Selena just told of Helena to Babs and not to Bruce...simple as that...

But *Why* didn't she tell him. They drive the whole "catwoman was a criminal" thing into the ground, like that's all she ever was (Batman's bad girl romance), so it seems like she would want to tell her mentor about his kid. What was the motivation for keeping it to herself. Even if Selina asked her to, why did she agree?
