Do you think TPTB will kill Batman off, when he comes to BoP?

I have a feeling the writers will kill Bruce Wayne off. It will probably happen, just as him and Helena will finally bury the hatchet.

Batman probably sacrifice himself to save his daughter from some horrible villain, and he'll die in Helena's arms. I can see the writers doing this, to redeem Batman's character, since some think he's a horrible father after he walked out on Helena years before and is a coward. Helena will of course, be devistated that she lost another parent, especially the father she never really knew and just got to know better. Afterwards, Helena/Huntress will be full of anger and rage, will go postal on this villain, and will either kill him/her, or put this person in jail. Yet, Helena/Huntress will carry on what her father began years ago.

This would be the perfect way to end the series. What do you guys think?

I'd have to say that it is a possibility. And it would be so like the writers to put us-and the characters-through such a horrible pain.

Perhaps it could go like this:

Bruce and Helena are fighting this psycho-bad guy, one of the main baddies and not a meta-human of the week, mind you. Perhaps the two of them had just started to get to know one another better, but were interrupted by psycho-bad guy, like Bruce broke the ice with stories of Selina or something.

Bruce jumps in front of Helena when the psycho-bad guy throws something really bad at her. He falls back into her arms. Helena stares at him in shock. This wasn't something she'd expected. Then a rage that she's carried in her for so long erupts and she jumps at the psycho-bad guy. She proceeds to beat the crap out of him.

She's just about to kill him when she notices that Reese, Dinah, and Barbara have shown up and are surrounding Bruce. Perhaps Bruce could faintly call out to Helena and say something that Barbara has said so many times, "Helena, we don't kill..."

Maybe this could have an impact and she just knocks the guy out and drops him to the ground like a sack of potatoes. She then rushes back over to Bruce and they say a few words to one another, until he dies in her arms.

By then, Barbara is probably crying, Dinah is probably in tears while trying to comfort her, Reese bows his head to the man who protected New Gotham for so long, and Helena just clings to him, lost in the knowledge that she has lost her other parent before she ever truly knew him...

:weep: I really don't want to see Bruce die, but it's definitely a possibility.

I don't think the writers would do something that ambitious. Joss Whedon would lol, but not this team. I think they would be very sensitive to the fact that if they do it wrong, it would be detrimental to the show itself. :)
