Actually Kea I just found out that this show that aired today is still from last season .. for some reason the way that the WB airs the shows screw up the sequence ... gee what a surprise huh ... any way the third season ends with Apocolypse come out from behind the Doomsday Door ... thats when the 4th (and possibly final) season of the show will start.

They introduced a really cool new charactor which was a teenage female version of Wolverine (adamantium claws and all) Fury and S.H.E.I.L.D. was also in this episode and they (sort of ) introduced Hydra (who's scentist developed the girl) she ran off in the final few minutes but I'm sure she will be back in a later episode.

I missed it so much when it wasn't on.
If you want to catch old episodes they are on Cartoon Network Saturday-Thursday at night (check local listing). That is how I caught up in the story because I have a tendancy to oversleep on the weekends and miss my shows. :)

Why would this be the last season of X-Men: Evolution?? I would think that they would be going stronger than ever with X2 just comming out.

PS- If you haven't checked out Ultimate X-Men(a comic) DO IT NOW!! I don't read Marvel comics usually but this one is really great.

Well the first part of the 2 part season ender Dark Horizon aired this morning and it was GREAT !!!

Next week we finally get to see Apocolyps who in this incarnation of the charactor seems to have taken a page from Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned and seems to be an anicent eygptian or at least from a civilization predating christ.

Rouge can be overloaded with too many powers as was shown in the last few episodes .. she herself at this point doesn't have the control to handle all the powers and personalities she absorbs.

Also remember should she touch Apocolypse she would take on his personality and that guy is one mean and powerful mother !! anyone that could hold his own against SO many varied powers has to have ALOT of will power and strength !! so I doubt that Rouge could handle it all.

Your both assuming that even if she did get that close to him that she could handle absorbing his level of power ... or even that she could absorb it at all .. Apocolypse is after all the first and suposedly the most powerful mutant ever ... i'm sure he would have some defense against Rouge's power.

Rouge probably couldn't handle that much power NOW .. remember she is a teenager in this version of the X-men ... and I REALLY doubt they will do a Dark Rouge storyline ... its too close to a Dark Phoenix sort of thing. Though hey ... you never know anything is possible .. maybe this is there way of introducing a Dark someone into X-men Evolution ... just remember when all was said and done Dark Phoenix ended up dead ... I don't think thats what you would want to happen to Rouge.

Well Rouge was pivital in the story, but not in the way that everyone thought ... she actually supercharged Apocolypse with all the powers that she had stolen from everyone else ... and Mystique ended up turned to stone ... couldn't happen to a nicer mutant if you ask me.

I was SOOO wrong about the whole Rogue thing. She just boosted his power, oops. Does this mean that Apocalypse has Rogue's power to absorb power from others?

Well we say aparitions go from Rogue to Apocalypse, and when each one went from her to him he gained the respective power. We never saw Rogue, an apparition of, go to him. Then again he was absorbing the powers from Rogue, so he already has that power in Evolution.

Well its been said in the show by Mystique and Destiny that Rouge could be the most powerful of all. Think about it .. right now she just borrows powers for a short time ... and later on in the series when she touched Mystique she once again manifested the powers of everyone that she had ever touched while using Mystique's shapeshifting ability to emulate the physical form of the person whos power she was manifesting ... logically that would mean that Rouge kept a portion of that power and or the ability to use it again ... what if this IS her true power or her power in its fianl form ... not just to borrow the powers for a short time but to actually store all those abilities like a computer stores information to be accessed later on. Even in the comicbooks she kept Ms. Marvel's powers permanently.

When you think about it this way Rouge and Apocolyps bascially have the same ability ... its just that Apocoplyse is further along in his control of it ... and Rouge could end up being the MOST powerful of all sooner or later just like Mystique and Destiny prophecised !!

ATTENTION X-MEN EVOLUTION FANS !!!

According to TVShowsondvd.com .... Marvel will be releasing a Boxed Set of the entire first season (13 episodes) of X-men Evolution on September 16th !!! I'm sure subsequent seasons will follow shortly there after.

So if your buying the single DVD's like I was ... don't !!!

I missed the last ep!!! I was out of town visiting a friend, and apparantly little kids get control of the tv on saturday mornings. TV hogs :shrug: :laugh:

It wasn't really storyline involved ... it was titled "Cruise Control" all the X-kids went on a cruise to "get away from it all" of course Boom Boom caused a ruckous and exposed to the rest of the passengers on the ship that the kids were mutants ... while docked off an island Jean and Scott deside to jump ship for a while to get away from the situation ... unfortunately for them so do Kitty and Kurt ... meanwhile it seems that Amara can't be away from solid ground for extended periods ... it seems that she has to have constant contact with the ground for her tectonic powers to work ... so Boom Boom (Tabitha) and Bobby take her to the island where she recovers.

To make a long story short (yeah I know too late) the island turns out to be volcanic and Magma saves the day.

All in all a very cool episode.

I think that Agatha or Wanda could put her back together ... but there was some MAJOR charactorization in todays episode ... you really saw Magneto's ego, Nightcrawler's loving nature ... and Rouge's pure hatred for what Mystique has done to her.

I know. Everytime I think the show can't possibly get any better, it does! My mom (I'm in college but I still live at home) has started watching it with me. She started about two months ago when they played reruns on Cartoon Network. And now she won't miss it! Why does Rogue resent Mystique so much? I know in the other X-Men versions Mystique made Rogue almost kill Miss Marvel, but I don't recal that happening in XME.

How exactly did Mystique raise Rogue? When we first met Rogue I thought it was implied that she was living with Destiny. I'm not sure how Mystique fits into that picture.

And finally, did Rogue ever absorb Professor X's powers? I was just wondering if Apocalypse got his too.

No that didn't happen here ... Ms. Marvel was never introduced into this incarnation.

It was implied that both Irene (Destiny) and Raven (Mystique) were raising Rouge ... though I think Irene was really the one there for the day to day ... IMO the resentment actually came from when Rouge found out that Raven and Irene knew about her powers and later on she found out all the lies that Raven told her and how she had been manipulating her for so long .. but BOY did she ever let it all out in todays episode ... I have to tell you not in a million years did i see that one coming !!

No she didn't ever absorb Prof. X's powers which I think will be crucial to the storyline coming up ... much like Juggernaut, I think it might be Apocolypse's one vulnerablilty.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Especially after today's episode. Did you see the look Apocalypse and Prof X gave each other? It was kind of like two warriors looking each other in the eye before a battle. :boxing:

Also, I don't think that Magneto was killed I think that Apocolypse absorbed him, just like I'm sure this isn't the last we have heard of Mystique ... and maybe just maybe ... she has started to figure out what a sap she's been.

I haven't seen anything past 'Dark Horizon', so please bear with me. Rogue resents Mystique because she's been used and lied to since her powers emerged. She disguised herself as the school principal and then later as her classmate. So she doesn't have many reasons to really trust her.

It hasn't been revealed how Mystique adopted Rogue yet. If what I've read recently is true we might not find out soon. But it's possible that Mystique has been paying for her and Destiny's living expenses since I doubt Destiny has a job. Unless it's trading stocks through the phone. If Rogue doesn't remember any of it, then those memories are either lost from absorbing too many minds. Or Mystique never revealed her true form while caring for young Rogue.

And yes, Rogue absorbed Xavier's powers first when she was under Mesmero's control in Dark Horizon. Magneto claimed she used it to wipe their memories after Rogue attacked him and his followers. But the security cameras still caught it. So Poccy should have telepathy as well after "Dark Horizon prt 2". But even if he didn't, he's proven that he has a very overwhelming will. If this was the original Simonson version, his weakness would be related to his armor.

RM .. this obivously isn't Simonson's version of Apolcolyps .. just as much as X-Men evolution in general really isn't exactly like any X-Men incarnation either ... it only takes elements from ALOT of X-men lore and combines them in a new way. I re-watched the episode from the week before last and I didn't see Prof. X's image going into Apocolyps ... so maybe Rouge didn't retain the Prof.'s powers for some (as yet) unexplain reason .. but I have a feeling that we will be finding out soon enough.

I'm glad that Evolution has a very refreshing take on the X-Men. But after I learned about what Simonson intended, Apocalypse is truly one of the most powerful and dangerous people on the planet. He's pretty much a god on Earth.

I have to agree I think this is a great spin on the X-Men and I think the series does really well at holding the attention of the fans while still stying true to the themes set up by the books.

I also think that while Apocolypse isn't an exact carbon copy of the Simonson version .. the show does pretty much stick to the general theme and the power level of the charactor he created .. it would be very interesting to hear his comments on the storyline so far.

This episode was only a set up for what is to come Legion will obviously end up with either the Brotherhood or Apocolypse

Powers: Mutant powers of telekinetic, pyrokinetic and time travelling. He used to have multiple personalities and each of them controlled one power.

First Appearance: New Mutants #25

Creators: Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz

Pro-File: Legion is the son of Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller. Xavier and Gabrielle met in Israel, in the same time that Charles met Erik Magnus Lensherr. At that time, Gabrielle got pregnant, but Xavier left the place without knowing that. Years later, she introduced father to son, but Charles, as the leader of the X-Men couldn´t stay around his son all the time. David began to develop his many mutant powers, but at the same time that his multiple personality disorder manifested. As an alter effect of the combination of this two things, each persona of David controlled one of his powers, making him very dangerous, for enemies and friends, since not all of his personalities were good. Professor X sent him to Muir Island, so Moira MacTaggert could treat him right. He spent some time there, but when the Shadow King took control of the Island, making everyone's dark side take control, David's evil personas managed to take control of all his powers, killing Destiny and corrupting the protection mission against the Reavers, that attacked the place. When the X-Men and X-Factor went to Muir, Jacob Reiz, Shadow´s King host, went with them. Mystique, disguised as Valerie Cooper, killed Jacob when he tried to do the same to Charles, but the Shadow King used David as his next host. In a battle against the monster, Charles defeated him, but with the price of destroying his son´s mind.


David went in a coma that lasted a long time, until Mystique tried to avenge her best friend Destiny, attempting top kill the boy. He woke up from his coma, with no multiple personalities and a new power: time travel. He defeated Raven easily, and went to the Negeve desert, in Israel, where his mother was working as an ambassador. The X-Men went to check if things were alright, but they weren´t. David´s plan was to return in time and kill Magneto, so his father could forgive him and spent some time with him. The X-Men also came back with him, but failed to contain the new Legion. He was about to kill Magneto with a psychic knife, when Xavier stood between both men, dying in Erik´s place. This caused the launch of the Age of Apocalypse. In AOA, Bishop, with the help of Magneto´s X-Men, came back in time and prevented Charles from dying, explaining Legion what he was about to do. He died instead, or was he just lost in the time stream? Sometime ago, the multiple personalities of David materialized in Israel and end up fighting Excalibur. It seemed that those were souls trying to reach a new level of existence, and the European group helped them get their wish.

It seems unlikely that it would be intertionally implied if you look at the back story of Destiny raising Mystique(which I didn't know until the ominicient Jesse told me :) .) It would be like dating your own mom. eeeewwww!

Most of my X-Men knowledge comes from the cartoon that was on in the late 80s, to be quite honest. I only recently got into the comics. However, if Raven really was supposed to have been raised by Destiny, I can't imagine that they would later make them an item.

Trust me they butchered the Phoenix saga, and the Days of Future Past storylines SO badly that they were all but unrecognizable to anyone that read the books.

First off .. unless its in a verifiable X-book, don't trust a website.

Also, for anyone that was waiting for the X-Men collected edition boxed set, its not what you think it is (its not what I thought it was either) What they did was simply put all the Season 1 episodes on to DVD format, which in an of its self is great but there, isn't a BOXED set like Babylon 5 or the Star Trek boxed set its more like the Batman, Star Trek and Alien Boxed sets.

Each DVD is pretty inexpensive, I got them at Best Buy for on sale for 7.99 each and there are only 5 in total so far so your not talking a huge amount of cash.

That kid was really cool. But I was having complete flashbacks to Akira the whole ep!

And they are STILL avoiding Rogue and Nightcrawler in the episodes. I don't think they know where they are going with that story line. Or they just don't feel like dealing with it right now.

Leech is actualy an oldtime X-Men charactor, who was a member of the Morlock's, I'm glad they brought him back.

Okay, that was totally the best episode of any X-Men incarnation I've ever seen! Okay it didn't hurt that it was about 2 of my favorite characters, Rogue and Gambit. That ep RULED! It is totally what I've been waiting for, for the last few weeks. Now, I'm gonna go watch it again. :)

Oh and it was really funny when Pyro was watching and rewatching the tape of Magneto blowing up. :laugh:

Right now I am one happy Rogue Demon Hunting Penguin. :D

Guys, cartoons aren't like most regular TV shows, they don't have 22 episodes in a season .. at best most have only 12 or 13 so they couldn't afford to keep Rouge away too long, especially when you consider that Rouge and Mystique are involved in the end to this storyline.

But I completely agree, I wouldn't want another 9 month cliffhanger ending between seasons.

I don't know that she hs anything to do with the battle, but remember, Apocolpyse never absorbed her powers, so maybe it will be a combination of hers and Leech's that save the day.

I do like that they are gradually introducing all of the New Mutants group which originally consisted of: Mirage, Cannonball, Sunspot, Karma and Wolfsbane, they were later joined by Magma, Warlock and Cypher ... maybe there is a spinoff in the works !!

This is the end of the 4th season and I read in the Wizard that there was going to be a 5th. The 5th very possibly being the final one, though I'm going to FIGHT THAT TOOTH AND NAIL, I LOVE this show !!

The X-Men and the military tried to bust down the dome with conventional explosives, the Sentinels were using atomic fusion cannons which disrupted the domes energy signatures, once the signatures lost their cohession, they simply broke down, which leads me to beleive that the domes were mechanically generated by machines inside the pyramids themselves.

Actually no you didn't, nobody knew that the Goverment was still making Sentinels, Fury diclosed that in today's episode. I have a feeling that next season, the majority of the storylines will feature the Sentinels.

Yes, Kitty did try, but remember Apocolypse is a mutant himself, so it stands to reason that he would rig the shield domes to reflect or deflect mutant signatures.

Actually, in the books they once did build a Sentinal out of some sort of experimental non metalic matierials to battle Magneto, the problem was, it didn't effect anything metal around the battlefield such as cars, or steel gerders and the like which he could hurl at the Sentinel utterly destroying it. :D Nice try.

I have to rewatch the episode tonight, I taped it cause I was running around painting the outsid eof my house today, I am FRIED, I look like a parbroiled lobster, but by tomorrow it will all turn to color.

Apocolypse is trying to trigger the X-Gene in al humans (very much like Magneto tried to do in the original movie) since X-Men Evolution isn't QUITE like the original storyline, I'm thinking that Jean will take the majority of the gene blast which will egnite or at least put into motion the Phoenix !!!

Today's episode was great, and opens up a lot of possibilities if this is not the last episode. It gives a teaser for the Phoenix storyline(to get people interested?) and a glimps into the future of the X-Men.

Also was I the only one to notice two odd things? (bet I'm not ;) )
1. Professor X said they won, but not without paying a price. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember loosing any X-Men in this battle. What I think he was talking about was the release of Phoenix in his and Jean's mental battle.
2. Rogue flew into the frame in a flash forward into the future. Are we led to believe that she went bad and absorbed Marvel Girls's powers? If not where did she get the power to fly? Possibly mastering and tapping into all previously absorbed powers at will like in X-Treeme X-Men.

Okay people if you are as anxious as I am about the possiblity of more X-Men, I suggest we write letters to the WB now, to let them know how much we enjoy the show, and how we like the direction it is going. Come on people you remember how to write letters to the WB! I bet some people even have the address memorized. :write:

IN some X-men universes(some comic books and 90's t.v. show) Rouge was able to fly form the start.Oh and I agree with anyone who says that Pheniox was unleashed in Jean's and Professer X's battle , how else would she have won?

As I remember, Rogue was not able to fly from the start in the 90's TV show. She flew the whole time she was on the show, but it was later revealed that it was because she had previously absorbed Marvel Girl's powers.
You could be quite right about the comics. I certianly haven't read all the X-Men comics out there. I'd need a lifetime, and a whole lot more money :D

As far as the show goes, I think its up to the fans now, they basically showed you that they have LOTS more stories to tell, I think that if the fans write in now, we will get at least one more season for the show.

Well they left it like that because at least that way they can bring him back, and frankly I think he went into the future, which would go along with the books timing ... I think if we (the fans) can convince Marvel to do a 5th season and the next X-men movie is a hit again, you can easily get another couple of seasons off XE.

No it was the picture of the older X-men in Xavier's mind, ArchAngel was on the left, you wouldn't recognize him immediately unless you read the books and understood the changes he went through when he had to have his wings amputated and he became one of the 4 horsemen of Apocolypse (of course I'm talking about the original comicbook storyline)

Wolvie was on the right, I don't remember seeing Beast, but it all went by so damn fast, I loved the fact that they used the same sound effect as they used in the 80's version of the X-Men for the Phoenix, I wouldn't doubt it was sampled from the original.

All that Prof. X showed proved that they could take this series MUCH further, we have to get everyone involved in trying to keep it going !!!

The animation sucks .. it reminds me alot of REBOOT, I only saw one full episode of it (and a few halves) but at least that one seemed okay, if you could get past the crappy computer animation.

Okay, I watched both the X-Men and the Spiderman DVD's

X-Men Evolution ... AWESOME .. but I expected no less.

Spiderman ... IF you can get past the lousy animation the stories are actually quite good. They offer up alternative versions of classic charactors like Electro and the Lizard, as well as Silver Sable and some new ones too. All in all not a bad buy.
