Can someone explain to me what a metahuman is or what it is supposed to be?

a metahuman is someone who has abnormal abilities but is still human in any other aspect. No one knows where they came from originally, maybe genetic mutation, chemicals, experiments, but having two with the same power, though theoretically possible, is so rare that it's unheard of for two full blood metas to have identical powers.
