In Kingdom Come and The Kingdom, we were given glimpses on a possible future of the DCU, in which some characters had children who grew up to become heroes/villains. But, it being only a possible future, many things have happened to contradict that.
Darkstar - Robert Long
Son of Wonder Girl/Troia. Died as a baby in a car crash that also took the life of his father.
Kid Flash II - Iris West
Daughter of the Flash. She and her brother Barry both died as unborn children in the recent Flash #200, where the villain Zoom attacked their mother, Linda, causing her to lose the twins before they were even born.
Ibn Al Xu'ffasch
Son of Batman and Talia. Was born before Kingdom Come, but no longer in continuity.
Nightstar - Mar'I Grayson
Daughter of Nightwing and Starfire. Though she could still possibly be born, odds are she won't, as Dick and Kory are no longer romantically involved.

There's not supposed to be a point. I was just complaining about how they killed off the West twins, and decided to make it informative.

Yeah, but they could still have kids, and oh look it's twins, again.

Killing them is really irrlevant as this is only a possible version of the future. Personally, I've always considered the KC project an Elseworlds type of project rather than an "in" continuity one.
And essencially DBZ is right ... those twins didn't nessearily have to be "the" twins.

Yes, but Kid Flash II was also featured in the Chain Lightning storyline, in which it showed the Allen/Thawne feud throughout the centuries and the Flashes of all the different time periods working together to defeat the villain Cobalt Blue.

I emailed Geoff Johns, writer of The Flash, about the whole thing, and this is the response I got back:
Who knows?!Some help he was.

What did you expect ?? All the answers haven't been written yet. Thats why they are continuing storylines, thats why alot of time paradox storys don't work ... all it takes is one story contradicting it to throw a monkey wrench into it.

Guess what, alternate universes. People from pocket universes. Timetravel. Magic. Mind control, it didn't happen. There are hundreds of options.

Exactly my point D .. anythig that is written can be changed and changed back again a dozen times ... I was just discussing the Phoenix storyline with a guy at my comics store on Weds .. he was gripping about Jean being brought back from the dead when I explained to him that she was never dead in the first place it was the Phoenix that died not Jean ... needless to say that just started a whole different discussion ... but my point is that nothing is written in stone ... everything can be altered from the future to the past.

all of this stuff is alot like star trek always messing with timetravel. yes it may be a bit confusing, but we get so many great stories out of it. kinda like how i say just lose yourself in a great story and don't worry so much about how you get there.

Getting a bit back on topic ... Previews is listing 4 new Action Figures based on the Kingdom Come books and more importantly Alex Ross's designs:
Armored Wonder Woman
Deadman
The Flash
Magog
The first wave (Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman & Green Lantern) were some of the BEST Action Figures that DC Direct has ever made and these look to be no different !!

So...if its all just an Elseworlds, and Hypertime was introduced in The Kingdom, then there is no Hypertime in the actual DCU, which means all these recent multiverse stories shouldnt happen...possibly including Elsewords and *SPLORCH*....um...I think my head just exploded......:elephant: :elephant: :elephant:

Elseworlds storys were never meant to be in continuity .. thats why they were created in the first place ... to give writers and artists venues to explore the charactors without messing things up.
