For anyone who's interested:
from dccomics.com
Jeph Loeb & Jim Lee continue their run on BATMAN with Part 2 of the 12-part "Hush." Lying near death, Batman must turn to the least likely person from the Bat family for help: the Huntress! Meanwhile, Catwoman continues to hunt down the mysterious individual responsible for wreaking havoc in their lives—a path that leads her back to Poison Ivy.
Obviously, not the same Huntress as on the show, but still.. :)

I prefer the Huntress on the show over the rather lame Huntress of the comics. I really don't see anything in the comic character but maybe Jeph Loeb can bring some much needed to depth to this long drawn heroine of the comic book world.

The Huntress will be featured in issue #6 of Batman Family. It should be in comic book stores today.

I much prefer the Huntress of the (current) comics...especially as she's a different character. The show's Huntress is much more like Dinah's comic character. :)

I prefer the Huntress on the comics over the rather lame Huntress of the TV-show. I really don't see anything in the TV-series character but maybe the producers can bring some much needed to depth to this long drawn heroine of the TV-series world.

The Huntress in the comics is just this Italian stereotype. She wears a cross and fights the mafia, for God's sake! How cheesey can you get?

I don't find her an Italian stereotype...

I picked up BATMAN 609 with Huntress and its almost as if she's actually part of Batman Family, though Batman doesn't really seem to trust her. Pick this issue up!
And I don't think she's so much of a sterotype, she's just gone unexplored for so long and they really have gone that much deeper on her character then they would a guest role for one of the superheroes, at least as far as I can tell but I trust Loeb will bring her further into the Bat's world.

The issue was very good, and the comicbook Huntress is superb.

i love her new costume... the one on the show should be like it, except minus the white stripes and with a smaller mask.

I prefer the original Huntress, Helena Wayne of Earth-2. But then I cut my eyeteeth on Pre-Crisis DC comics. :)
The new Huntress is growing on me though since I looked through a Huntress graphic novel in Waldenbooks the other day. They explored her as a Sicilian American with 'family ties' so to speak, and delved into what 'Omerta' REALLY means. All in all, a better than average treatment I thought.
Helena Kyle is terriffic though, and if we can't have the Earth-2 Huntress on TV, She's very much the next best thing!
Watchover on a roll, as he posts his 4th! :D

I just picked up Gotham Knights #38. The Huntress is in this issue. There are going to be doing some things to this character. She is being 'tortured' by Dr. Crane(?). The last panel leaves something to the imagination. I hope that they don't kill her off - especially since the Birds of Prey have made her well known.

I just finished reading Batman#609 with the Huntress in it. Why does every new artist have to redo her costume? They never redo Batman, Robin, or Nightwing's costume!! The costume is purely sexist. No woman in her right mind would walk around with a tank top and shorts fighting crime. I liked the other costume where it was all one piece. It fight more in lines with the Batman theme.

I agree, though she looked amazing, the costume didn't really suit her. I mean she is like the only Bat-hero to show that much skin, lol. It was a good issue though!

The Huntress in comics I think that doesn't have a deffinition yet, for that reason always are changing her costumes and personality... I prefer Huntress in TV...

The costume just doesn't make sense. Like you said, it showed a lot more skin. All of the other Batman themed characters are pretty covered up. But what do I know? I am only a comic book reader - they didn't ask for my opinion.

Just a thought....Now didn't her original costume show more than this one? Kinda put me in the mind of a LV showgirl-type costume. Sales of thigh high boots DID go up that year?!

Yes the original Earth 2 Huntress costume was very 'daring'. Thigh high boots and a low cut top. Bathing suit type. The post-crisis Huntress costume was no better. She switched to lower boots but the low cut bathing suit was still there. It was when she appeared in Contagion that she switched to the one piece suit.
