As per a request from DBZ and the fact that there have been no real important posts on the first Hush- Part 2 thread I've created this one and added the poll.

I only haev 10 options so I did the best i could.

Hope no one minds :D !!!

It is in the old HUSH thread, around page four, on one of my posts.

I just got finished rereading 616, because of the comment of the last wizard that the "penultimate" is in it. I now have three picks, if it isn't one of these I will blow a kibitz.

These choices are based upon things in 616, and hoping I might have seen a clue.

1. After Talia is taken off Lexcorp one, or whatever, Lex Find out and is asked if he wants to take action. His response is
"Not..."
"...yet."
mayby he is still made about not getting all that land free in NML.

2. Talia herself. She saved catwoman, which as she herself put it, his love for catwoman will be used against him. That can't happen if she is dead. Also Ra's said that whoever has manipulated the Bats is his enemy too. She, whenever she is not working for him (like now), has seen herself as his enemy.

3. Harvey Dent, this is for a number of reasons. First, he has been my choice all along therefore can't let it go. Second, he seems to be healed, or plastic surgery (I don't know, please tell me if you do). As Ra's put it one of the lazarus pits was defiled, depleting it's life restoring energies. Maybe that could heal Harvey. Also we know from his discussion with "Jimbo" that he knows whats going on, lots of it, maybe all of it.

So thats who 616 leads me to believe it to be, anyone else get some ideas from 616?

All sound very plausable D.

I never got aruond to re-reading 616, but I will make a point of it tonight or Saturday and post my thoughts.

Ofocurse there is the option that is in the back of my mind, Catwoman. She could use his love for her against him, but that is a thought in the back of my mind.

what if its bruce you know his self consious if anyone manipulated him early on in the story he could just be imaging things or this whole thing could just be a bad dream thats just a thought that I had about five seconds ago andI know that it doen't really make sense

DBZ_EXP
09-21-2003, 12:39 PM
Actually it does, I had thought of that but it would be so annoying if they did that. After all this time it was himself, I mean that is the cheapest possibility of them all.

spyke
09-21-2003, 12:44 PM
yea it is preety cheap except for the people who went out and bought all 11 issues then #12 of the story but it just seems like that would what someone would do you know

DBZ_EXP
09-21-2003, 02:28 PM
Yeah, but like you said twelve issues, it's unlikely they would carry some kind of dream on for that long.

spyke
09-21-2003, 02:45 PM
they could though

Jesse321
09-21-2003, 03:14 PM
No, I read a recent artical and they said that this storyline takes place over a span of several months to almost a year, so I doubt the whole hting si some elongated dream sequence.

spyke
09-21-2003, 03:17 PM
oh ok then well if it didn't take over a couple of months then it could have been a dream or some sort of manipulation

DBZ_EXP
09-21-2003, 06:52 PM
then it would have effected the other Batman titles, this is because he would have been in the "dream" in them to. So it must not be a dream, and HUSH is a Batman character other then Bruce.

What point, all this is, is bad grammer. So much so that we cannot understand your point.

what think about now?

spyke
09-22-2003, 10:49 PM
ok in gotham knights #44 Jason died that was last months issue and in the same month clayface posed as Jason to try and defeat Batman . You guys said that all Batman series go along with each other how can that be?

Frostbite
09-22-2003, 10:51 PM
Jason didn't die in Gotham Knights 44! He died years ago!

just forget it it's taking up to much room

DBZ_EXP
09-22-2003, 11:10 PM
But Frostbite is right, it was more then a decade ago that Jason had died, therefore again you have no point.

I just went to look up GK 44 and it had the death of Jason, but it was years age. In 44 Bruce went over, IN HIS MIND, the event leading to jason's death.

Here is how DC describes it
"You may think you know the truth about the death of Jason Todd...but you're wrong! As events in the present force Bruce Wayne to look into the past, some of the actions and events surrounding the demise of the second Robin become clearer. Plus, in the black-and-white backup, "The Best of Gotham"—a guide to Gotham City nightlife by Jill Thompson (DEATH: AT DEATH'S DOOR)!"

"...events in the present..." I wonder what those could be?

09-22-2003, 11:32 PM
ok I didn't know what that mean't but ok

DBZ_EXP
09-23-2003, 12:06 AM
But do you know now, or do you need it explained? LOL.

OOH yes, and one day to go, I will be picking up my comics early this week, but don't worry I will warn if I Spoil.

Jesse321
09-23-2003, 12:16 AM
GK 44 was a retrospective story .. they just tried to fill in more of the plot that brought about Jasons death over a decade ago .. I think thats where Spyke might be getting confused.

In Batman 614 in the end of punch line HUSH trew a coin like two face used to do and since harvey seems to be cured then it looks like he might be the Hush man itself.

By the way the coin ended in death face (the scratched one), who died next?

Couldn't tell you, I collect Superman so I came on this late. I get Batman when SUps is in it, which the one with him was the first I got, then I start collecting the HUSH with 616.

12 hours till I get the conclusion.

Jesse321

I think that will be covered in the next 6 part storyarch by Jeff and Jim coming in 6 months.

crap well I still like that ending where he punchs him and the guard comes in and says "what happened?" " the fell"

I am just wondering what the "penultimate" clue in BATMAN 616 is. That is what Wizard called the clue in it, so what is it? Can anyone tell me.

spyke
09-24-2003, 10:48 PM
I don't get it either

DBZ_EXP
09-24-2003, 10:53 PM
I reread that twice. I still came up with three possibilities, but as we know they are wrong. I just can't figure out what the clue was. If someone can, please tell me what the clue is.

Frostbite also posted a Spoiler Warning - which is the right thing to do so Spyke, not everyone reads spoilers so you might want to include one in your last post too, just in case cuz if they didn't read his spoiler, you just revealed it ;)

Sorry about that. But there are some details which I didn't find within the "Hush" issues. When I posted my list of questions and observations I worried about wether or not the writer had vital information only he would know to solve the villain's identity. Or it was available in past issues. It seems it was a bit of both.

SPOILER, somewhat

He figured it out when he came out of the pit. He even said so. It gave him a new clarity of mind, which was all he needed to figure out Bruce Wayne is Batman.

Red Mask

Why doesn't Batman ask the Martian Manhunter to erase the knowledge from his foes' minds?

Frostbite
09-29-2003, 10:59 PM
Because that's not very moral. And besides, J'onn turned into a crazy fire villain.

DBZ_EXP
09-29-2003, 11:19 PM
FB is correct, the Martian Manhunter has turned into a prehistoric Martian called "The Burning". But the two storylines can't take place at the same time because in the JLA The Burning Batman has just been majorly injured and went to plastic man's.

Jesse321
09-30-2003, 12:06 AM
Morality aside .. Bats wouldn't do that because it would express a weakness in himself. One of Batman's best attributes is fact that he has always (for the most part) been able to handle his own problems. The fact that he pschyed out the Riddler and then checkmated him with the threat of unleashing Ras against him should he ever spill the beans is proof of that. Batman has always been a charactor that survives by his wits and on his terms, thats what makes him Batman and arguably the most powerful charactor in the DC universe.

According to the Wizard emasil I recieved today, Jason Todd Is Hush. Is it true? How can this be? I thought he was dead?

Jesse321
04-08-2004, 07:03 PM
Well in the original HUSH storyline it was supposed to be Jason, but it turned out to be the Riddler employing Clayface to play Jason.

BUT .. there is a new Hush making the rounds in Gotham Knights right now and no one knows who he is .. so maybe we haven't yet seen the last of Jason.

DBZ_EXP
04-08-2004, 09:43 PM
Ofcourse not, it is even thought that it wasn't finished at the end of HUSH.

What I am wondering is does Joker know. The Riddler wasn't going to tell anyone because letting others in on a secret lowers the value of the secret, and what bigger secret is there then the identity of Batman (which could have something to to with IC). But recently it was very likely that he was going to be killed, so he sent a message to the Joker (I don't remember what it was exactly, if someone knows it would be great) saying somthing like "I know, get me out".

Jesse321
04-08-2004, 10:40 PM
Obviously not, Riddler new the answer (a name) of someone that the Joker always wanted revenge on, he had been holding that trump card for a long time IMO .. and I think that Riddler just got deparate enough to pull it out of his hat to save his skin.

So he made a deal with Joker .. the name in exchange for protection .. not that it's worked so far mind you .. last issue Hush was mopping the floor with Eddie.
