What does everyone think of the music of New Gotham. Im loving the theme "Revolution" by Aimee Allen. She's on Elektra records with label mates Metallica, Montly Crue, and Pantera. Thats some serious f*ucking company. Look for big things from this little girl.

I actually sing along to the song during the opening credits. It perfectly sums up what the Birds of Prey are all about!

I love the music, just want more of it. Most of the opening sequence time is used up by Alfreds little explination, which I think should be dropped next season to be replaced with an extended version of "Start a Revolution"

If you have actually heard the full versoin of "Revolution", then I think you would agree that it is not the right song to play in full on the WB. Although I think it would be really cool if it was... and it has become my new curent favorite song...

Always watching...

I absolutely LOVE "Revolution" :D !!!! It's such a kick ass song! I just wish I had the lyrics!!!!! The full verison is sooo cool. My sis saw the video for it long before BoP came out. She said it was kinda weird. But that's just her. LOL

Syn-

I have listened to the whole song, and I still think it fits perfectly. The song talks about youth picking up and taking up what the old has left behind. "If I can get up in the morning" is just a commentary on some of the laziness in this society we live in.

Anyways, everyone go to elektra.com and look at Aimee Allens page. Her music is great!

They have the video online at http://www.aimeeallenrocks.com (I think it's the Elektra site).

You guys should also download 'The Harder They Come'. I fell in love with this song after listening to the BOP fall promo on the WB. Once again the Song is called The Harder They Come and the artist is Paul Oakenfold. It's also sung by Nelly Furtado if that interests any of you:angel:

"I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning."
Translation: I'm too lazy to do anything important.

And the line right before the refrain is "Hey, babe, go get high. I can't remember why."

I still think the song is pretty cool. You can't take the lyrics too literally.

She's actually quoting an old song in the first part...I can't remember who did the original...but for some reason I seem to remember someone re-doing it for the Lost Boys movie...

Hey Kids Rock-n-Roll...something something something something

Aaacckk this is going to drive me crazy....

Hey kids, rock and roll. That's how I lost control. Hey kids, go get high. I can't remember why.

Up all night, I waste my time.
I am fine, but a day behind.
Up all night feeling stupid and happy, but the days are overlapping.
My days are overlapping.

I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.
I'd start a revolution if I could get up, get up.
I'd start a revolution, I'd start a revolution if I could get up, get up.
I'd start a revolution, I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.

Hey, every day is a weekend. I stay up, so I sleep in. Hey, every day there's a reason. I just do it all over again.

If I could get up in the morning.
Get up, get up, get up, get up in the morning.
Get up, get up, get up.

All the things I do, don't you tell me not to. You're walking in my shoes, but you stumble, don't you?
Four, five, six AM, I'm up all night again!

I'd start a revolution if I could...
I'd start a revolution if I could get up, get up.
I'd start a revolution, start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.
I'd start a revolution, start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.
I'd start a revolution.
Get up in the morning.
I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.
I'd start a revolution.
I'd start a revolution if I could get up, get up.

What I think some of you are failing to realize is that this song is edited for TV. They are taking the relevant parts of the song and using it to accentuate the show that much more. But if you really think about the Huntress character, she wants to be a hero, but hse doenst ya know? Sometimes she doenst wanna get up in the morning and do it. So, in my opinion, the whole song sits perfetly.

But doesn't she do her crime-fighting at night? She can sleep in if she wants to. She's a bartender and a vigalante. Those are both night jobs.

The song is great.

You are taking the lyrics way to literally. Lend some weight to the words, but do not take "Get up in the morning" as getting up at 6am. Come on people its rock and roll!

Maybe it's a metaphor...ya know "getting up in the morning" means facing your problems head on instead of fighting in the darkness of night.

I know I'm reaching...but what else am I going to talk about? The song's awesome IMO. Sadly it may be the only lasting thing from the show!

Look, the song wasn't designed for the show, it's just one of the best songs that basically fits on how the show goes and the mood of the show. All you complainers, find me a song that fits better than "I'd start a Revoluion", then I'll shut up on this thread.

I became a huge Michelle Branch, Arvil Levigne, Our Lady Peace fan as well as other artists because I heard their music for the first time on BOP.

I'm not much of a music person and I hardy listen to the radio but BOP has kept in tune of some great music that is out there.

BTW: I also love the Revolution song by Allen. Everytime I hear it I think of the show. I could almost say the same thing about the other songs I've heard.:D

There's just something really cool about that whole intro sound to the song too...it just set up the mood of the show right away.

I hope Aimee's album is just as good as "Revolution"
