Garner out of Elektra spin-off!

I don't know if this is a rumor or not but Jenifer Garner has supposedly droped off the Elektra spin-off movie.rumor is that Christina Agulara will replace her but not as Elektra Nachios but as "Summer Sontos" a coffer shop worker who has dreams of (Ironiclly) becoming a pop singer but at night she becomes Elektra and fights the evil dooers of the music indusrty. Apearinlty DD won't even be mentioned in this film if all of this is true.And the Elektra that is in this one is from a clan of Elektra . If I'm wrong I'm sorry but was there ever a clan of Elektras? It sounds like ppl are screwing up again with hero's name's and other things.

While I love Ashley, I have the same problem with her that I did with Jennifer in the role, personally I always thought Elektra should have been played by someone more eithnic looking. While both Jennifer and Ashley are quite beautiful and capable ladies, I just never thought of them as right for the part of Elektra.

And don't even get me started on what I think about C.A. in the role .... PUUUUHLEEZE !!!:rolleyes:

Yep.. they were saying this because of the Catwoman movie.. Halle said that they belive that existed nine catwomans, and she was one of them.. kind like a clan, what is ridiculis (spell??) because catwoman it's a thief, there's no society of catwomen.. or like they said.. ''The League of Extraordinary Catwomans''..... so they were joking saying that will be a new Elektra movie, without elektra, with a ridiculis story... but it was just a joke.....

When I read this i was soo happy. Garner resembled nothing of the comic character Elektra, or the writers wrote it wrong. But then again it's probably just a rumour.

And I agree wit Jesse321, :bow:Jessica Alba is the PERFECT Elektra.

And on cat women, how can Halle Berry do both X-men and Catwomen, one been Marvel the other been DC.

From what I read in Wizard under the film section. Garner is still Elektra and they are waiting for her to finish Alias to start filming.

Yes, and in a better news, Elektra will show up in DD2, basically will see what happened to her after the rooftop fight in DD in her own movie (well, duh), and then she will be reunited with DD in DD2... so we don't need to worry, we'll se her playing Elektra in at least 2 movies :D

You guys had me worried for a minute there. Christina Aguilera as Elektra?!? That girl scares me.

I actually haven't heard anything about it, but I find it hard to believe that Jennifer Garner would skip out on the Elektra movie. DD was her first major starring movie role(and quite successful from what I remember) and she already agreed to do the Electra movie, so I don't see why she would back out of the movie now.

It was a stupid rumor. Probably made in reaction to the Catwoman movie plot. Have more faith in the "Elektra" movie crew. They wouldn't do that so soon after Daredevil came out. It's bad marketing.

On a separate note, I've been reading "The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction". In it, one of the writers say that studios believed sci-fi shows, including shows like "Batman", would only succeed as comedies. They didn't believe in taking the subject matter seriously. Boy, did we suffer back then. It put a bad impression on Hollywood.
