Message to TPTB: GET RID OF WADE!

I am sorry, but this character is really, really lame. Sure he's a nice guy, but he has no depth at all, and he isn't very interesting. All he's ever there for, is to be a romantic interest for Barbara.

We didn't get to see his parents and what they thought about Barbara. We also don't get to know Wade more as "just a nice guy."

I just feel that Wade is out of his league, when he's paired up with Barbara. I would rather them get rid of this character, and bring in someone MUCH more interesting and complex for Barb, like Dick Grayson/Nightwing.

Maybe Wade will turn into Mr. Evil Guy - through some devious trick of Harley Quinn - and Barbara will be forced to take him out.

I completely agree that this character has no depth. It's like Barbara acts all shy and embarrased when he's just spouting unoriginal cliches. The school seems to exist only for the development of her relationship, so whenever the scene cuts to the school, you're like, "Oh geez, this guy again." If they're going to make a decent relationship out of this, they're going to have to develop his character a lot more. But I think they've ruined it already. You're supposed to get to know each other, THEN sleep together, not have sex, then get to know each other. There isn't even a relationship here, it's like they just went off and had sex. Granted it's probably been a while for Barbara b/c of the whole wheelchair thing, but c'mon, that's way too quick, which they actually made fun of. I was mad.

Realistically, she should be acting all doubtful and cautious about relationships, not going all gung ho. She's in a business where people closest to her get killed or injured and exploited, plus she has virtually no time for extra-curriculars, she's a superhero and a teacher.

Back to the Wade sucks issue, Batman was Barbara's idol, and the measuring stick for any future guy, so Wade definitely is below standard, but then again it would be hard to find any guy up to that standard. Maybe Barbara's having issues about wanting to have things in her life that she's missing, and worrying that her disability stands in the way, so she's hooking up with whoever's interested. But if so, they should write the part better to convey that.

Incidentally, any guy that asks a girl to meet his parents after the first date is really creepy, especially when this date doesn't last very long due to superhero troubles. Maybe he's got mid-life crisis issues. But if they turned him into a villain, it wouldn't work, because he hasn't endeared himself enough to the viewers to make them think, "YOU JERK! YOU HURT BARBARA!", plus their relationship really has nothing to it. I hope they just stop seeing each other, Barbara doesn't need a boyfriend if he's going to be an insubstantial footnote.

I agree, drop Wade fast. He's just a distraction to show Babs outside the clocktower in front of the computer and it's getting old. Whitney (of Smallville) wasn't a fan favorite, but at least he was somewhat interesting. This guy is just boring.

I'm a HUGE Dick and Barbara fan, so I don't like Wade so much.

Wade stole all the Dick Grayson personality thing. Whatever Wade and Barb talked about was similar to the Dick and Barbara thing in the comics.

I'm also glad that I am not the only one who feels like this. I really want Nightwing in here and not Wade for the second season, if they will have one. Let's band together when we need to okay.
