View Full Version : Vampire High (not the T.V. show...but my movie)

I'm in pre-production of my newest movie called Vampire High. It's about these two vampires who look about 15 or 16. The protagonist is a girl named Jessica while the antagonist is a girl named Melanie. Through the whole movie they have little arguments about Jessica's hold on humanity and Melanie's embrace of her vampiric nature. Jessica still goes to school though she's 65 years-old (in my movie, the older a vampire gets the harsher sunlight is to it;Melanie is 220--you do the math) and she falls for the main actor: Carter. A relationship develops while Melanie and another vampire, Aiden (Melanie's sire, who has survived in the sunlight with heavy suntan lotion)

I took a bunch of little parts from T.V. shows and books, and movies to create my vampires and fighting scenes. Jessica being able to go in the sunlight comes from a book called Shattered Mirror. And Buffy, like one character dies from a vengeful vampire named Jenny in my movie. And Jenny Calendar was killed by Angelus. And in the fighting scenes, they fight with staffs, and it's choreographed like Star Wars: Phantom Menace (Darth Maul's double sided lightsaber) and Angel's third season pilot "Heartthrob".

I know it's copying, but it's my first actual movie that's actually going into shooting and I couldn't write something really original.

Anyone else thinks it's a good movie?

Not bad. Keep working on it. But personally I'm sort of over the modern take on vampires like Lestat, Angel, and Underworld. I prefer charaters like Alucard and Vampire Hunter D which harken to more supernatural roots.

Sounds good, Impulse! Go for it even if it is a bit of a copy. (Honestly, what ISN'T a copy in this world?) It sounds very cool, nonetheless. :D

Wish I could see it! :(

Me too, but I don't know how to put them on my computer. All right, Dray:

Jessica like I said is still trying to be as human as she can. And she falls for the main guy and Aiden finds out and tells Melanie to tell Jessica to stop. But, the rebellious little vampire goes to dances and dates Carter. Well, Aiden convinces Melanie to actually show Jessica, so Melanie kills Jessica's best friend, Jenny. Jessica finds Jenny's body and swears to kill Melanie. There's a big battle, but Jessica can't bring herself to kill Melanie so she runs off to Carter and tells him that she's a vampire and about Melanie and Aiden. Carter doesn't really care, and they share a nice kiss.

Melanie comes to consciousness and finds Aiden. They have a talk about how they should leave since a human knows about them but Melanie stays behind. (So, contrary to what the beginning of the movie shows: Aiden is a big coward and leaves Melanie behind) Jessica says goodbye to Melanie: and the last scene is Jessica standing in front of Jenny's grave and promising to kill Melanie.

the person who helped me write it wanted to set it up for a sequel. I don't really like it that way, but I don't want to piss her off because she's playing Melanie

I like the premise here. I hope you definately look into getting this into a TV series of some sort, has potential with a story that is while borrowed from bits and pieces, but is still fresh!

Okay, right now: I'm waiting for my video camera to come in for Christmas. (got it from Ebay so it takes a while) But I got all the fake blood, my friend's getting a sword for the fight scenes, and we're working on the staff control.
