A new show for us old fogies started up Monday night on VH-1, Bands Reunited. They couldn't have picked a better group to start with than Berlin! It was great to see the original members, minus Rob Brill, back together! John Crawford, Terri Nunn, Dave Diamond, Matt Reid, Ric Olsen and Rod Learned got together at the world famous Roxy in L.A. for a one time only reunion show. Disappointingly, VH-1 only showed them performing "The Metro" and an acustic version of "No More Words". The individual vignettes and group session at rehersal were great! Tuesday's show brought back together one hit wonder Romeo Void. Another disappointment here was that their Sax player was unable to perform with the rest of the group due to severe Tinitus, and the difference was very apparent. Eight more nights and eight more of our favorite 80's bands(Kajagoogoo, Klymaxx, A Flock of Seagulls, The Alarm, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, etc.) to go! Time for the kids of the 80's to make themselves heard again! If you like what VH-1 has done so far, let them know so that they can continue to bring back our favorite bands! Talk on the message boards over there has already started, wanting to see groups like Talk Talk(another fave of mine!:D) and others. But if you have a favorite, let them know! And remember to ask for the full length performances to be released on vhs and dvd!

Ultimate challenge for VH-1s Bands Reunited...Dokken original line up. I don't believe you could get Don Dokken and George Lynch in the same room again.

Berlin ROCKED !!! Terri Nunn hasn't aged a freaking day, she still looks great, they were one of my favorite bands of the 80's !! I'm SO glad that they were all able to bury the hachet and get back together, even if for only one night !! That accustic version of "No More Words" was FANTASTIC ... I wish they would release it as a single.

I doubt that Kajagoogoo will ever happen, there was WAY TOO MUCH bad blood there and didn't the lead singer of FGTH pass away a few years ago ??

I wonder if this will prompt any of these bands to try to go back into the studio again ?? What do you guys think ?? :feedback:

I believe two members of FGTH have passed, if I'm not mistaken. As far as Kajagoogoo goes, that ought to be a 'fun one'.....Berlin definately will NOT get back together, as Terri now owns the name and has a new incarnation that she's recording and touring with, more's the pity. Maybe some of the other bands......

Well, if tonight's show is any indication, Kajagoogoo may have some competetion on its hands, courtesy of the ladies from Klymaxx. Not to spoil anything, but I've got two words for ya'- CAT FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Flock Of Seagulls pulled off their show like they had never stopped playing together. So far, the only disappointing performance has been by Romeo Void and they weren't that far off. Let's see how everyone else does.....

A Flock of Seagulls never did stop touring, at least some of the members anyway, I saw them recently down here in FL when they were touring with an 80's band show .. other acts were

Missing Persons
Bow Wow Wow
The Romantics
Belinda Carisle (whom I  madly)
and Tiffany

That AFOS was just the lead singer, Bow Wow Wow had gotten back together 2-3 yrs. ago. How about Kaja? Easiest one yet. But tonight's show......Let's just say it ain't pretty.

Have to agree with you on the Klymaxx one, DrayvensCrow. I tought it was going to come to blows over that one. Though I have to agree with the rest of the group. I think I would be mad too if one of the members stole the name and tried to tour without them. Wasn't very nice. Good singing though.

Flock of Seagulls was awesome too! They sang as if they had never stopped touring.

Hope they decide to keep this show because there are a lot of bands that I would like to see brought back. Its a pretty good show.

I think its going to be up to the ratings and the feedback from the viewers as to if they will keep the show going or not.

Totally agree with you on the footage thing. They only show bits and pieces and then its only from their most well-known song. I would at least like to see an entire song, if not two. I think the actual performance is the best part(although the occasional bickering among members is pretty fun to watch :D )

Doesn't REO Speedwagon still tour? I want to say that they had a concert not to long ago at one of our state fairs, because I remember wanting to go but couldn't. That may have been some other band though, but I thought it was them.

Yes they do, they were just down here at Gulfstream Race Track, where I'm going to see PAT BENATAR tomorrow !!
