This just in! Just received an email from a "grrr, argh" source that Firefly was picked up for two more eps--but nothing beyond that. If you care at all, please watch the show, tell your friends and send those support letters! You can grab the contact addresses from the transcript of my November 4 chat. Also, sad news for Birds of Prey fans: A source close to the Frog tells me they've decided to ax the show. No official announcement yet, but the source says it is a "99.9 percent" sure thing."


If something is gonna be done then now is the time to do it. Call your local WB station or actually call WB in Cali...send email to them...start emailing people randomly...post on the official WB forum boards, write into TV GUIDE, E!, etc.

You shouldnt give up! I am a Farscape fan and we still havent given up! We are trying to help Firefly by watching. I suggest you guys go to scifi BBoards and get Scapers to watch! Even though we dont have Neilson boxes we will give support! I just started to really like the show! UGH!

Ok, i just thought of something we could do to promote Lady Shiva and BoP at the same time. On www.thewb.com they have a trailer for Lady Shiva. They also have an option where you can email the trailer to people. How about we email the trailer to friends and stuff??? I already emailed them to two ppl.

Means that the WB hasnt ordered the rest of the 9 eps to make a full 22 ep season. 13+9=22. Hopefully fans will spread the word about the show.

I'm so confused! I'm reading all of these articles on this site and most of them contradict one another. For example:
1) on November 19th, two stars of the show didn't make an appearance because the show was said to be cancelled (the comic convention posted an article concerning this. please see at http://www.comicbookscifi.com/program1.html#birds ).
2) On November 23rd, it has been said that the 4 planned TV Guide covers have been pulled because the show has been cancelled
3) People all over this site have had recent posts from the stars on the show (Mainly Dina) stating that the show hasn't ceased production, however the WB hasn't purchased the remaining 9 episodes of the seasons.

This is so confusing. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE SHOW?

Also, I don't understand why the WB would be considering cancelling the show when Buffy started with weak ratings and grew into a really great show. If you are writing letters to the WB, please write to the following addresses:

Remind them of Buffy's success, the many viewers who go online to this very site to put up posts, and of the production of the upcoming Batman movie that will help promote the show. Most importantly remind them of how much you love the show, because they are keeping the shows running based on our opinions, if we take time to write to them, it shows that we are willing to put the extra effort to see this show survive.
PLEASE WRITE TO THE WB BY SNAIL-MAIL. It emphasizes our love of the show.
Please, don't let them cancel Birds of Prey! There is too much potential.

DON'T GIVE UP HOPE.
