What is there there you really don't want to see on the show? A villian of the week format? Too much comedy? Too much romance?

Anything in the vein of what Max and Logan became on Dark Angel. That was a potential romantic relationship gone wrong through bad decisions in writing it. They let the characters make their feelings known WAY too early and as a result, they had to try and keep the angst there in S2 with the lame virus subplot.
If we must be bombarded with googly eyes and lovey-dovey sentiments, let it be realistic for the characters. Give us the stuff Mulder and Scully were made of for years on end where fans never got tired of hoping. Otherwise... just leave the 'shippy stuff to the pros :).

A few things, I figure Season 1 will be Villain of the Week, and after that it could do the Buffy thing and go into more of a plot Arch, or stay like things like Charmed and keep the VotW.
Personally I prefer the plot Arch, however if they do this, they'll have to bring in a Villain that is likeable, and not too Arch (if that made sense)-- I don't like just seeing big Pantomine type villains who are just plain evil.
I'd also not like to see one person just hogging the story lines, it's called BirdS of Prey, and I'd like to see plots split up between the 3 girls.
Also, please, please, don't have fantasticly rediculous inventions such as (but not limited to ;) hehe) Time Travel, Death Laser etc etc.
Over Acting- Some shows you just can't get into cause the actors are... well... crap, and it ruins the whole show.
And last but not least:
Please, PLEASE no Slapstick type comedy!

I agree with everything mentioned above. :D
No forced romance between any characters, please. Let chemistry & tension work their charms naturally. If it's not there, it's not, so the writers need to get over that.
No villain-of-the-week. That's the best way to kill off your own show. Give us arcs, with enemies that aren't obvious ... make things suspenseful, without being dumb about it.
No cheesy comedy. And no cheesy references to other superheroes, or Smallville. Keep it witty, not idiotic.
No time travelling. I agree with Alchemyst definitely. Stupid plot devices like that won't do anyone any good.
And please, let everyone have a chance to shine. And if someone's acting is honestly terrible, then slowly adjust the spotlight to suit that. But I want to see Dina, Ashley, Rachel and Shemar all get a chance to show us their acting abilities.

THERE ARE TOO MANY SHOWS ON TV NOW ABOUT ROMANCE. BIRDS OF PREY SHOULD BE ABOUT THE FRIENDSHIP SHARED BETWEEN ORACLE, BLACK CANARY, AND HUNTRESS.

i don't want to have a set of episodes that never have any lasting effects on future episodes; i don't wan't to see single stories with no repercussions. i don't want to se one villian become the only reason for the existence of the birds of prey.
i wouldn't mind seeing romance, but i don't want it to be reese. i want reese to be a partner in crime fighting, an advocate for the women, like jim gordon.
i don't want the plots to beat up the characters till the last five minutes until some deus ex machina cooked up just for this episode and then forgotten comes down from the clock tower. i want to see detective work and keen analytical skills, not "oh, let's hack into the databsae and have all the answers. i know that's oracles' main skill, but let's keep that to a tool and not an end.
i wanna see GUEST STARS! just not every week. the batman mythos is filled to the brim with protege's and hangers' on. i want to see them but geez let's keep it organic to a given story.
that's pretty much it for what i want to see for now.
What DON'T I want to see on the show??? How about no more bad acting and silly dialog from the Huntress. " I am the weapon" Ooooooooh. How about no "Smallville-esque" villians of the week (or is that "weak").

Jeepers...
Personally, I don't want to see winter happen in Gotham... 'cause then they'd have to wear sweaters and stuff. Boh. There is just SO much eye candy on BoP.
LoL other than that, no gooey romance or 'real' issues, such as rape, drugs, bad relationships etc. That's what ruined season 6 of Buffy. Stick to ass-kicking in heels! That never gets old. :D

No "Mutant X" Crap acting, storylines, lame story-lines, perfect hair and make-up 24/7 , Silly dialogue, Silly poses and fighting, Silly characters, no silly formula etc, Bad character interactions etc
NO "MUTANT X" AT ALL
What I want is, great acting, stories, characters, relationships ,and fun/scary villians, short arc stories, but not too complicated, so new viewers can join any time. And good directing and writing.

Oh my god... if this show turns into Mutant X I'm going to shoot someone. Probably the writers. Or the people on Mutant X just because I hate them soooo much...
I really hope they don't delve into too many 'personal issues' with the girls, like if they go overboard with Helena's good/evil confliction. I don't want to see her going from good to bad over and over again! WB shows tend to do that (hint: Angel) and that would really suck. Other than that - same as my views above.

Harley Q, you're so right, Harley Quinn better not do a Angel thing, good/evil. She should be evil full time, but fun. And there should be a episode focused on her past, with The Joker. And how she became insane.
