The Whole Cast during "Wizard of OZ"

If they're dumping the show, it's funny they had the ENTIRE cast (well not Mia Sara - Ashley, Rachel, Dina, and Shemar) doing the in-between commercial clips during "The Wizard of OZ". It seems that was somewhat geared toward promoting faces, why would they promote the faces from a cancelled show? They had only one guy from Everwood (the father, but I think I saw Ephram, the son, once too), only Pheobe from Charmed, Simon from 7th heaven, Lana and Lex from Smallville, and Mr. French and the teenage sister from "Family affair." A few other random faces that currently slip my mind(Suckbrina - I mean Sabrina, the oldest daughter from Reba and maybe her boyfriend. Angel from, well, Angel), but damn near everyone in BoP and there were several clips of them, at the most the other WB faces featured were two cast members from other shows. I'm not going to say the press release isn't true because of this, I just found it weird.

The show still has episodes coming up and anyone knows that the fastest way to get people NOT tuning in is to tell everyone live on air that its cancelled and stop promotion. They still are gonna try and get the ratings up anyway for the sake of the whole station.

Ted was telling me about these clips though, he said they were pretty funny :)

I don't suppose anyone taped those things did they? If I had known that they would be talking I would of confronted my childhood fear of watching this movie. Anyway, if anyone taped these and could provide me with a copy or something then either PM me or e-mail me at squatch21@hotmail.com

They probably made the inbetweens before they canceled the show. They've been advertising the Wizard of Oz for like a month now, and at that point they thought, "Hey, maybe if we get the entire cast of Birds of Prey on, people will watch the show."

rats! Did anyone watch/tape these little snippets and could they share at least what was said?

Don't get your hopes up - some of these were filmed MONTHS ago, if not over a year ago. If you saw, you would notice that they were wearing what they wear for the WB Backlot shoots for the snippets that air between commercials, and Kristin Kreuk and Alyssa Milano were wearing respective outfits/hairstyles from last season's aired backlot shots (Alyssa has short dark brown/black hair now, and those clips had her with her long blond locks). That kind of promotional footage is shot before the season airs, just as promotional stills are. That was done before BOP's ratings slipped.

From what I remember, Kristin or Rachel said they'd love to play the witch - you get to be evil and it would be lots of fun. Michael Rosenbaum's favorite line was "I'll get you, my pretty - and your little dog, too!" and he impersonated Margaret well. Dina, Ashley, Kristin and Alyssa were all scared of the flying monkeys; Rachel loved them. Ashley was scared of the movie growing up.

I saw it last night and I could have kicked myself for not taping it. But I did catch the one with the flying moneys which was great.

I wish I had taped it. Didn't tape it because the kids already had it. And wouldn't have watched the film if not for the kids. Then the faces, or whatever, started poping on for the inbetweens and the kids kept yelling "Huntress, Shemar, Batgirl, Pheobe, Lana, Lex, etc. etc." The problem was when they yelled I couldn't hear, so I missed half of what everybody said. So I'm really mad at myself for not taping it.
