I mean what else are they gonna do with the 1st season?? Might as well make some money from it!

Thing is, they probably wouldn't make any money off them, due to the low ratings.

I'll take DVD's and anything else with BoP on it. But I want to see if we can get it into syndication first before I start on the DVD campaign! ;) But down the line oh yeah I want some DVD's!

this would be a good idea
but because of the poor ratings i think WB might think theres no demand for it
i would love to be wrong though
maybe at least someday the scifi channel will pick up the reruns

Wouldnt be such a surprise if a 2-episode DVD was made for the European market.

I suspect the low ratings would kill any chance of a DVD release, but you never know. If any episode were to get the DVD treatment, I suspect WB would release the pilot (as they did Smallville) and/or the finale.

Europeans get tons of TV DVD's! And you never know! Out those hot chicks on the cover. People will buy!

There have been several instances of dvds released for shows which were cancelled. My So-Called Life comes to mind and I know that there are others. There is a huge market for dvds and the head of Warner dvd (Warren Liebenfarb?) is the chief proponent of the dvd market. Even if they don't go to mass market with them, I have heard of situations where they make a certain specified number just for fans. I will try to remember where I saw the info.

You're right, LisaM, it is possible.

Well if they do make a dvd set it should have loads of extras. Like behind the scenes interviews with the cast, a soundtrack, and lots of set deisgn sketches.

I enjoyed the Smallville pilot DVD :)

They could also add deleted parts, bloopers and maybe even the first ep that was not shown! Although most of us have already seen it! ;)
Yes I want my DVD's! With lots of extras as well.

A BoP soundtrack would also be nice.

I was about to make a nasty comment on the "Bloopers" but i wont :p

The only problem is that "My So Called Life" was critically acclaimed. While BOP was called "witless" in a recent tv guide.

There are a lot of tv series' being put on dvd, unless I'm a fan of the show. Sorry everyone, it's my fault. :(

I'm still waiting for all of B:TAS on dvd, but all we have is one dvd of 5 episodes. After that it would be nice for some old 80's shows I watched when I was a kid. But alas...

You dont have to give any money to the WB IF they ever come out with a boxed-set. You can get the FULL episodes at GREAT quality online. If you have Kazaa, you can get them there, then burn them to a CD (or VCD or DVD) with your DVD Burner or CD burner. That is what I am doing. It works really great. I am currently on episode 4 (its downloading now). The videos are about 500MB each (wich means better quality). Episodes 1-7 are up (including the unaired pilot). I would highly recommend anyone to do this that has a CD burner! I would act fast though, because they might not be up forever!

For those of you burning VCDs (which means you cant burn AVI's) there is one episode in AVI format. That is episode 2 (Slick). If you have the room on your computer and know how to uncompress it, I envy you! My computer doesnt have the room for it, or else I would do it. So im gonna have to wait until Christmas (which is when I get my new computer) and do it then.

If you want to get Kazaa to get the videos you have to download the program: go to www.kazaa.com

But, they might have things such as:

Deleted scenes
Interactive maps
Director's commentary
Featurettes

Downloading them is a cheap and more realistic alternative. Seeng as how we don;t even know if we will be able to get the WB to make DVDs.

True the DVDs might have deleted scenes, etc. but why take your chances on not having the series if they dont make a DVD.

I am encouraging people to start downloading them now, because they might not be there in a couple of months.

And if you really want interactive maps, you can make some with DVD programs. Sometimes if it is a popular movie/show, you can get deleted scenes online, but probably not with BoP.

That reminds me...

I typed "Birds of Prey" into the search box of my downloading program, and one of the results was "Mia Sara Birds of Prey". Thinking this was a scene with Mia Sara in it, I downloaded it.

It was not what I had hoped for, but it was a 10 second clip of Mia Sara naked in the shower. Oh well. :)

Which only works if your computer is special enough to be able to hold that many episodes on it, or if you have a burner to begin with. Me, I'm stuck as the only person I know with such a thing thinks BoP is the evil work of Satan. [Well, not literally, but they're not a fan.]

Plus, if they ever put an official DVD out, then by buying it, you'd be supporting Ashley, Dina, Rachel, Mia, and Shemar. At least, I'd think they'd at least get something from the profits.

But the chances of them giving us a DVD set is about as high as them giving BoP another chance.

Well, neither do I. I didn't know it would like that.

I don't know.

it is probably fake

ChibiFrank

but she is in the shower in the second episode, so it could be "extra" unnessisary footage that they shot.

No, she had long, brown hair in it.

No, that was Sherilyn Fenn. She looks nothing like Mia Sara.
