Reese definitely made good eye candy in the show. Many people on this board are not big fans on his character. I happened to like him, though I think Shemar brought too much of a soap opera style into the role - overdramatization and all. But then, he is a soap star, so what would we expect.

I happen to like Shemar and thought he was great in The Brothers. I think that if the show had progressed to more than a season, Shemar's acting would have improved and he would have been more enjoyable in the role.

Personally, I liked Reese, and I liked Shemar in the role. And, I also thought Helena and he were good together. (Sam glances nervously over her shoulder to see whether certain mods are watching.)

My only complaint is that the development of the Reese-Helena relationship took precedence over the development of other more central characters. I would have liked to see more development of the characters of and relationships between all three Birds and Alfred, while Reese remained a peripheral character in the first season, then Reese brought alongside in a partnering role perhaps in the second season.
