Has anyone seen pictures of the Harley Quinn costume yet?
So far they've done a HORRIBLE job at casting Harl - I hope they do a better job at the costume. And what's with Catwoman having a ponytail???
So far the only thing that seems okay is the Batgirl costume and her casting.
Thoughts?

I haven't seen pictures of it yet I'm afraid :( As soon as I do I will post them on the site.
I noticed the ponytail too and it did look a bit weird....before I judge whether or not they have done a bad job casting Harley I am gonna wait and watch the premiere. You really can't fairly judge Mia before then ;)

Harl is a dear character to me. I've followed the Batman comics as much as possible, and her's even more-so. But I'll admit that I haven't read the new Harley Quinn comic book series - so I can't base my opinion on her performance there - but Mia just seems all wrong for the Harley I know from the B:TAS series, phsyically. As for her personality - I can't say either. The first girl they casted, though, seemed much better than mia.
I really have a list of complaints, so far, for this series and the people who created it - for instance, "Helena Kyle". Where did they get that name? There are two Huntresses from the comics, Helena Wayne and Helena Bertinelli. The idea that the Huntress is the daughter of Bruce and Selena came from a branch off the Batman comics, and just doesn't mesh well with this story that includes Harley and Oracle. I mean, there are some solid parts - but a lot of weakness too.
I guess I've gotta try to be open to this - WB is notorious for screwing the comic versions.
No offence.

Yeah, from what I have heard Sherilyn did a really great job in the Pilot episode, though unfortunately had to be replaced :( I guess on the performance part we do have to wait though, Mia may do a really great job of the role.
I know that comic fans do have complaints BUT you have to remember that this is an adaptation of the comic series, therefore things won't be exactly the same. Also what fun is there in watching a series that remains exactly the same as what you read in the books? I mean sure it would be fine to a degree, but surely it is more fun to watch when you don't know exactly whats coming up, when there are new characters for the leads to interact with etc....
Various people have stated that they are taking the comics and using them as a basis but changing and expanding on different aspects and ideas...
Again I have to say, also no offense to you as your opinion is totally valid, that you need to be open (as you have said) and I also think to some extent you need to put what you have read in the comics aside. Its being adapted for television and they need to bring in stuff that is gonna keep people watching, I am sure they will hold true to the comics on as much as they can, but they won't with everything. Hold on in there, I am sure if you put the comics aside you will enjoy the show for what it is.
Welcome to the board btw ;)

I didn't see the costume, but I want to. Sherilyn did a good job on the pilot in the clips I saw. Of coarse I didn't see any with Mia Sara yet, so Im not sure how good she is.

I've seen the [unaired] pilot and of course in it, is actress Sherilyn Fenn as Harley. The outfit was ok, but I do not think it was "the" outfit because when she was wearing it (the red top) when she was speaking to Detective Jake Reese about Larry. Of course, Mia Sara is doing the role now and they are changing lots of stuff, so we will find out, in Pilot or Slick one.

Ok, from what I gather I have seen the unaired pilot episode. I thought Sherilyn did a great job. I can't imagin why they would replace her. I actually liked her a lot and was thinking her character may be my favorite. But now, since their is somebody else playing the role... who knows? I might not like her at all. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
