PM email notification

Why is it that even though I have the "receive e-mail notification" box checked in my CP for PMs, I only get e=mail notification every once in a while? Up unitl about 2 weeks ago or less I always got e-mail notification, but now all the sudden I'm usualy not.

I'm not sure - I've never used that feature. Take a look at your profile and see if anything has changed. Sometimes vBulletin has glitches and it might have done something to your settings?

I thought of that so I checked my settings, and as of when I wrote that post they were still correct.

The software sometimes screws up and either forgets to send a notification or sends it very late.

well, this sure seems to be an awful lot of screwing up. For weeks now I've been getting no notification whatsoever, not even late ones.

I don't know if there is much we can do on this end. The vBulletin software sorta does it all on its own. I'll see if there is anything on their help forum but I haven't heard of anyone else here having the problem.

Have you tried taking your notification off and then try to select it again? Sounds stupid but when you close a program and reopen it, it sometimes fixes the glitch. I know, probably won't help but it's just step one. ;)
