A new explaination of the WB's pig-headedness?

I was thinking last night...After the big hit of Spiderman, the WB has put "Catwoman" on the front burner as the next Bat-film. Could it be that the WB bought the show just to put it on and take it off - just to keep it out of the market? Sure, this is X-files conspiracy theory stuff, but this kind of stuff happens all the time, especially in the music biz. In the minds of mindless execs, having BoP on the air and a Catwoman feature film would confuse joe-blow public. Since Ashley Judd is now Catwoman and not fan-fave Michelle Pfiefer, the film is going to be a hard sell anyway. Just a thought I had...

From what I ahve read in Wizard and other comic periodicals this Version of Catwoman is NOTHING like the books, Ashley Judds charactor's name isn't even Selena. So if people are pissed about BOP not beeing true to the books .. get ready for the fireworks when this film hits the theaters.

I'll probably wait for it to come out on the movie channels and watch it first, just to see if it's worth buying on DVD.

I mean, I like Ashley Judd and all; I think she's a wonderful actress (loved her in Double Jeporady), but I can't help but think of Catwoman as always being Selina Kyle played by Michelle Pfiefer.

The WB is really going to have a hard time selling this one to the Bat and Cat-fanatics, one of which I happen to be! ;) *laughs*

Ashley Judd will be Catwoman, aka Patience Price, the new Catwoman. Makes sense though, fans would be pissed at seeing Ashley Judd take over Pfeiffer's role. Michelle even gave Ashley her blessings. Ashley is gonna rock!

On the original topic however, yes, I love Ashley Judd as well (more as a celebrity than an actress though, just haven't seen that many movies of hers I liked in general), and I think she will do a capable job as Catwoman, but...Saw BR on cable this weekend, and I can't believe Michelle wasn't nominated for an Oscar (I remember serious Oscar talk that fall). I mean, yes, it's a fanboy thing, but she really was doing high-calliber acting. Although I'll be there opening day, and probably see it several times, and but the poster, and action figures...lol, it still is a blashpemy not to have her be Selina kyle.

Okay, I'm cool with Ashley Judd, but she doesn't seem...physically capable (or atleast look it) to do all of the stunts that Michelle did. I'll still watch it, but if it's not rated R, I'd rather do the 5th choice. It may sound perveted, but I wanna see the making of Helena. I meani wanna see some Hardcore catwoman action!!! MEOOOOOOW!!! I'm also hoping Episode 3 of Star Wars is rated R too. Time to make Luke and Liegh. THE FORCE IS STRONG IN YOU!!! FLIP OVER AND LET ME SEE YOUR DARKSIDE!!! LOL! Just joking everybody!

im not so sure the catwoman flick being stalled is a bad thing
without michelle and the character not beng selina kyle
i just dont think it was a good idea to go ahead with it
perhaps someday the original catwoman will return in a better script
