Was tonight's rerun any different than it was the first time it aired, or was it edited like the pilot episode was? I had to chose between BoP on WB and Dina Meyer on 'Howard Stern'. I chose the latter. Did I miss anything?

I don't believe you missed anything. Prey for the Hunter was unedited to my knowledge.

I wondered about the possibility that someone, somewhere at the WB or the production company could have ordered a re-edit to bring it more into line with what 'Lady Shiva' was. It would have been interesting, don't you think, to make a new episode out of an old one? I suppose it's been done before ...

It is possible but I doubt it. That would cost money I believe. Plus, we all know that it is a rerun and wouldn't be continuous with Lady Shiva.

No, I'm sure WB has decided it won't put any more into the venture than it has to.
I don't expect ratings for this one to be good. It's fortunate we're out of sweeps ... Interesting, though, that one of the local papers has listed BoP as a best bet nearly every week.
'Thumbs down', though, to Entertainment Weekly ... which says the cancellation earns BoP 'Loser of the Week' status.

I read the EW article. Sad...

Somebody apparently forgot to tell EW that Jordan Levin has permanent claim on 'Loser of the Week' ...

Good Call Lance
Here's the ratings and a comment from MediaWeek.com that I think we can agree with!
Programing insider for Wed. 12/5/02
<snip>
On the WB, 8 p.m. special Return to Middle Earth (the preview of upcoming theatrical Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) averaged a time period-improved 4.5/7 followed by a repeat of the canceled Birds of Prey at a fifth-place 2.7/4.
On UPN's repeat (there's that pesky word again) Wednesday, Enterprise opened the night with a 2.7/4 followed by The Twilight Zone at a 1.9/3. Considering Birds of Prey was canceled and Twilight Zone wasn't, a 42 percent advantage for Birds is an interesting observation. Why was the WB in such a rush to cancel this drama?
