The son of Clayface.... is Clayface. There are around 8 Clayfaces. One of them is the child of two others. That means it could either be him, or a child of one of the other 5.

I'm not sure which it will be but I've always been a fan of the Animated Series Clayface. Considering the circumstances, it should be interesting but one thing, that always gets me is that they always refer to these manfestations of villians as Metas (or at least they do on GOTHAMCLOCKTOWER.COM). Now, I know it's how they intended to start the show but considering that Clayface's child is in play, they shouldn't have to rely on this old cliche' after all each Clayface is equally connected.
If the show had lasted longer, I would have prefered to see more of the children of villians and actual criminals, that Birds would have to catch in the Bat's Detective style or should it be Oracle's style.

Gotham clock tower said that ........SPOILERS NOW ( You've been warned)
GCT said that it's the son of Clayface who is now an up and coming assasin. Plus stuff about Claface (original one I think...) being really into Helenas mom ( catwoman for those of you who just crawled out from under a rock...). So there is the only scoop on that ep so far...
Frostbite
12-19-2002, 09:06 PM
The original Clayface is dead. So it can't be that Clayface. There's about 7 living Clayfaces. One of them did have a Clay-child.

BOP kind of did Scarcorw already. Mr. Larry Ketterly could get inside peoples minds and used there fears to murder them. True he wasn't Dr. Crane but for all perpouses he was Scarcrow.

I'm still upset over the pilot ep. they should have just come out and said he was the scare crow, it would've allowed for the writers to give him some sort of background. Oh well.

larry ketterly is no jonathon crane, ketterly didnt use there fears to murder them,he somehow entered there minds.
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 12:13 AM
Um, yes Ketterly did use their fears to murder them. He entered their minds, found out what they feared most, and made the people think that this fear was happening to them, until they commited suicide.
Terry
12-28-2002, 12:17 AM
if he was able to do what you say how come he couldnt do that to helena, dinah or barbara
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 12:20 AM
Did you even watch the episode? He tried to kill Helena that way at the end, by forcing her to remember her mother's death. Dinah was able to bring herself and Barbara into Helena's mind and stop her from killing herself.
Terry
12-28-2002, 12:25 AM
she didnt seem very frightened,he can enter minds and tell or control them not murder them with there fears
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 12:32 AM
Causing the death of someone is, in fact, a form of murder. And by entering people's minds and forcing them to believe that their worst fears were becoming true, they committed suicide. Although they physically killed themselves, Ketterly was the _reason_ they killed themselves. He caused their deaths. Therefore, he murdered them with their fears.
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 12:40 AM
I shouldn't even respond to that Terry. You have some serious growing up to do. Although I'm apparently only a year older than you, you need to do some major maturing. Please don't reply with spam to any more of my posts. I'm going to ask nicely once. It's disrespectful to the author of the original post, and while it might make the spammer feel good about himself because his post total is one post higher, it degrades the original author's entire thread. Thank you.

there isn't very much difference between ketterly and the scarecrow, except that scarecrow used fear gas and larry used his mind.

Except Larry Ketterly is much more dignified than that. Remember that one scene when he was serving tea and that charming music played in the background? What ever happened to villains like that, the ones that would serve you tea instead of laughing insanely and giving off this monologue about how they would destroy you? Ketterly is the type of villain I like. He even had a family photo on his wall! A villain that loves his family!! I haven't seen that kind of loving since Blockbuster.

But Ketterly isnt Scarecrow.
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 09:02 PM
Oh, jeez. We never said Ketterly was the Scarecrow, he said he was very similar to the Scarecrow, in that he uses people's worst fears to kill them. Try reading the posts before you reply.
((Sorry if that comes off as harsh, but I'm sick of people who post and don't even know what they're talking about because they haven't even read the posts they're replying to.))
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 11:37 PM
No, they never once said that he was the Scarecrow. Bcool said that it would be a bad idea for them to have used Scarecrow in "Feat of Clay" rather than Clayface, because they already used the concept of the Scarecrow in the Pilot. Which they did. They had a villain who killed people using their fears. He didn't say that Ketterly WAS the Scarecrow. And Neptunekix didn't come NEAR saying that Ketterly was Scarecrow. She said that the writers should have gone ahead and MADE Ketterly to be Scarecrow because of the likenesses between the two characters. Check the facts, bub.

How about you look at it, Terry? She never said that he was the Scarecrow. She's saying that since they made Ketterly so similar to the Scarecrow, they should've just said he was the Scarecrow. She's not saying that Ketterly was the Scarecrow, she understands that he wasn't. Boy, you're even dumber than I could have ever imagined.
.:Mattness:.
12-28-2002, 11:58 PM
SHE WASN'T FRAGGEN SAYING THAT HE WAS THE SCARECROW! SHE WAS SAYING THAT HE WAS LIKE THE SCARECROW, KILLED PEOPLE THE SAME WAY THE SCARECROW DOES, AND THAT THE WRITERS SHOULD HAVE JUST MADE HIM BE THE SCARECROW EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T! Aaargh! This is why the WB should have aired the original pilot episode - or at least not cut the scene where the Birds have their showdown with Ketterling. In the original scene, Ketterling uses Helena's fear of losing people that she loves against her. He creates a vision which is a partial re-enactment of her mother's murder. Barbara goes to her and Helena says that she "couldn't protect her". Helena's holding the knife to her chest, all the while staring at the body on the ground. The next words out of her mouth are "I couldn't protect you." Barbara looks down and sees the vision Ketterling has put in Helena's mind - instead of Selina's body, we see a very dead Barbara Gordon! Barbara has to try to snap Helena out of it by telling her that she is not dead, but right there with Helena. The rest of the scene is the same as the aired version.

I hope it's not the last episode. Well I did hear that episode 13 was their last!! :-(
this whole conversation went right over my head.....I read a comic once, superman was on the back... any questions? I really cant see how the WB thinks they can win against comic fans, they might as well fight against trekies, or old people.... or cats, theres nothing more stubborn than a cat.
Erm... Are we even getting this episode? If so when? Angel is on wednesdays at 9 starting next week.
or was Reunion the last one we get to see on the WB?

Okay, here we go:
Back when I was 3 years old, in what you would call a "pre-school", we had been assigned to make some sort of construction paper snowman. (I know what you're thinking, 'What does this have to do with anything?'.) Now, for some reason or another, I didn't finish constructing the paper snowman. So, my "teacher" said to me, "Danny, why don't you just finish it for homework?". Being only 3 years old, I didn't grasp the concept of homework. So, obviously, I didn't do it. Next day, I came into "school", and the "teacher", upon realizing I didn't finish (or even start for that matter) the snowman, said, in front of everyone else mind you, "Danny, how hard can it be to complete a simple snowman?". Then, one of my "classmates", Nick, said, "Haha Danny, you're stupid!". And everyone laughed at me. They laughed and laughed and laughed. This was the beginning of the end. All through childhood, I was the fodder for my classmates' insults. First it was stupid, then cootie-infested, then retarded, gay, any insult you could think of, they called me. Because of their constant insults, I built a wall around myself (not a literal wall, idiots). I became very mean. And with meanness comes natural sarcasm.

On Devil's Eyes (Last episode, they said) Oracle uses the sub-neural machine to help Dinah and Reese in No Man's Land. But her victory was short lived when she collapsed as she did in Lady Shiva. I would like to see Oracle walk more. Dina Meyer, actress who played Oracle, said she would like to use her legs more anyway. If they do bring the show back I would like to see Oracle finally make the sub-neural machine work forever.

I really liked Devil's Eyes. I think they were saving the best for last. The battle scene at the end rocked. I even saw Alfred hit someone, I was like "go old guy!". and I liked the twist in Feat of Clay where Clayface turned out to be the one who killed Helena's mom.

I seriously thought that the finale was one of the better episodes. I think the season would have been saved if there were more fighting scenerios like the finale. The show would have been even better if they brought Harley's good ol' pal Poison Ivy into it. Imagine those two on the streets of New Gotham. I could go on and on, but I think its time that all of BOP fans tell the WB that the show has so much potential, and with a good combo of writers it could be just as successful as smallvile. I really miss BOP.
