I just got a call from my friend that works for the WB. She has heard that Birds of Prey -may- have chance at being moved to another station, if the last 5 eps do well. I don't know what station, yet they are looking at FX, TNT and Superstation. People lets keep our fingers crossed.

Perhaps our appeals to Kellner are having an effect ... :)
Didn't I tell you that He Who Must Not Be Named is NOT the ultimate authority on the matter of BOP? ;)
I'm thinking maybe more TNT or FX than TBS (they seem to specialize more in sitcoms and movies than original series).

I don't have UPN and FX i really hope they go with either TNT or TBS or they decide to go with sindication

^ I'm sure TNT or TBS will probably get first dibs on the project (nothing like keepin' it in the family, ya' know ;) ).

She called me about 8 hours ago. She says everyone is keeping low profiles and such. She said no one is talking, she getting very annoyed with that. There was one thing that she did say.
" Something is going on, that we do not have any information atm on. I'll keep in touch."
So something fishy maybe going on. I dunno.

Do you have a Nielson box? No? Well then, you silly, misguided person, there will be no effect.

Did DarkHuntress say they didn't have a Neilson box, Frostbite? No? Well then, you silly misguided person, make sure you know what you're talking about before you talk.
Chris

Look at it this way. Did Darkhuntress make the comment well aware of owning a Nielsen box? If so, Darkhuntress is violating the rules of owning one and he/she knows this.
The regulations of use says something in the lines of: its the viewers that count, not the number of television sets tuned in.
Of course, faking logs isnt the hardest thing in the world, but you catch my drift.
Further more, if she does not have a box and still stands up for he/she's comment, then she is a silly misguided person.
Hell, if he/she has a box, heh - he/she is still a silly misguided person.
So, mr.ass-who-likes-cheese - next time, you make sure you know what you're talking about before you talk.
.:Mattness:.

No, Chris, I wasn't referring to the correctness of DarkHuntress' post when I made mine. I don't know if they have a Neilson box. I was referring to the fact that many people on this board seem to feel they have to lash out at people for no reason, even when they have nothing to base their actions on.
Thanks for proving my point, Chris.
one day i will turn on all 5 tvs in my house to birds of prey
and this may be a rumor but i thought ppl could get boxes that stoped the ratings "I THINK"

I receive this from a subcscriber at another site and have yet to confirm it.
Ready for the bad news, kids? You get a repeat on January 1st at 9pm
("Slick" Ep. 2) Then you get TWO back to back new episodes on January
8th ("Gladiatrix" Ep. 10 & "Reunion" Ep. 11) at 8pm and 9pm.
On January 15th, "Angel" takes over the Wed. 9pm time slot all the
way through the February Sweep.
Expect the final two episodes ("Feat of Clay" Ep. 12 & "Devil's Eyes"
Ep. 13) in March to give Angel repeats a rest. Not sure if they will
be back-to-back as a two hour block...or spread out over two nites,
as yet.
But, after Jan 8th, you'll have 2 whole months to wait for the BOP
finale. Hate to be the bearer of bad news...but there you have it.
Some might say this gives us more time to save the show!! You'd be
wrong. The finale is said to contain wide spread destruction of the
key sets...which is being filmed right now. Once those sets come
down, there is no way they will be rebuilt. The WB is not interested
in the show and will not be shopping it around to the other nets and
cable outlets.
So, I say...It gives us all 2 and a half months to find some other
show to become obsessed with. BOP = RIP.
*****I REALLY HOPE THIS IS WRONG AND G SILVER IS RIGHT ABOUT SOMETHING POSSIBLY IN THE WORKS*****
If anyone hears anything let me know

This is basically a repeat of information posted over at the Clocktower. There is a poster there that claims he works for an affiliate. The scheduling information here is taken verbatim from his post.
Everything else is pure guessing. No one except the men involved know what's going to happen here. And no one knows for certain just how the sets will be destroyed or why but just because a set is torn down doesn't mean another won't be built.
If the show is put another network, they're going to want their own unique sets and not WB. They'll want to give the show it's own network stamp.

The God father is right. If it moves to another network ( all i want 4 christmas is my BoP,heh heh) then they will use thier own sets. Ppl, lets try to focus first of all on ratings. the ratings for N.O.T.B were 4.54 with L.A!!!!!! We also have to keep in mind that we should try to at least get some station to pick it up, not be picky and choosy bout which one we want. We have a goal eh? ( I live in Canada) lets stick to it.

If what G Silver says is true, then I'm seeing one of three scenarios in play:
(1) Levin has received orders from Turner to sell the show (which means our appeals to Kellner are working).
(2) Turner is handling the sale directly (against Levin's wishes).
(3) Levin is trying to quietly divest himself (and the network) of a PR headache caused by the fandom, Mediaweek, and Variety raking him and The WB over the coals for BOP's premature cancellation.

Redhead, where did you see that the overnights for NOTB (with LA added) were 4.54?

I'm confused about one thing. I've never heard of a show shooting a special ending to a show when it was cancalled. Is it possible this was to be the season ender all along?

Lets concentrate on ratings. Why don't we all get our friends to watch and their friends and so on. After awhile, the ratings will build up. That's what I've been doing....
The Godfather

BCool- I don't know. I'm of two minds about this. Episode 11 was ordered after the cancellation was requested so the writers had time to wind things up. What we've heard sure doesn't seem like a lot of that. There are indications that some direct events regarding Helena's anger and her mom come into play but I doubt they are actually dealt with.
Also, I haven't heard anything that gives Harley the kind of lead-up you would expect. So in saying, to me this feels more like a jumping point than a period.
Of course I'm an eternal optimist...

It's obvous the WB doesn't give a bat's a@# about raitings. That not to say we shouldn't try to get them up, We should try to get more people to watch. Hopfully if we can boots the raitings it will get other networks to take notice.

*smirks* I rather like the image of that third scenario. And you're right, the entire campaign has probably caused at least one or two headaches over at the WB.
Keep fighting! :)

I'll play Devil's Advocate for a minute: I haven't yet seen any evidence of another network banging on the door. Perhaps something is in the works and it is very hush-hush. Unlike other campaigns, the producers have chosen to remain silent so we don't really know what their interest is in moving BOP elsewhere.
The apparent silence tells me that we just have to continue to make more noise and to send in more letters and comic books.

As far as the ending of the show goes it's true that they seem to be fast forwarding to be able to wrap things up. However "wraping" things up doesn't have to meen "THE END" Fox's 24 wraped up it's story line and made magor changes at the end of season 1. Of cores this is all specultion. All we can do is kick up the volume and wait to see what happens.

At most TV networks, any potential deals-in-the-making are regarded as trade secrets; they aren't made public until all is said and done.

There's a show like that now, too, called "Joe Millionaire". These idiot girls think they're competing to marry a millionaire, but at the end, when one of the poor saps wins, they tell her that "Joe" is just an average person, and the girl will be like, "Hey, if you're poor, I don't want to marry you!", proving that it was a loveless thing from the start. I'm gonna watch the series finale of that show.

Can Fox really do that? I wouldn't be surprised if one of the cast members decided to sue. But its an interesting concept. I doubt that the supposed 'love' formed on these reality shows is really a deep profound love, but one that is based on glitz and glamour. I wonder if the poor girl will cry when she finds out. With that said I will be watching 'Joe'.
