Hudson Leick - Birds of Prey NEEDS her!
I just found out that Hudson was pretty close to playing Harley Quinn. I'm pissed that they gave it to Mia Sara, not b/c I don't like her, but b/c she acts EXACTLY like Hudson Leick's potrayal of Callisto. I'm shocked that I found this out, b/c I always thought Mia Sara's portrayal of Harley was EXTREMELY similar to Callisto. Although Mia Sara is wonderful as Harley, her whole style is ripped off Hudson's, and I think she should be discredited for that. I definately think that Hudson should have played Harley, cuz in my opinion, she's the most sexiest and talented actress. Although Mia Sara can act, she is nowhere near as sexy as Hudson, and her acting skills are neck and neck. I'm so disappointed - I would have loved to see Hudson as Harley - it would have been PERFECT!!!

I don't get it, how can you say that Mia Sara is ripping off Hudson? I'm a huge Xena fan and can understand why it would've been very cool seeing Hudson as Harleen, but I think that Mia is doing a superb job as Harleen. Man, she's got it going on!

Okay, I must have missed the episodes of Xena where Hudson acted like Mia's Harley. ..you know what I mean. Hudson definitely knows how to play the crazy hand, and few can do it better. But I don't really see the similarities between the two now.

Do you realize that Harleen can't go off and broadcast to New Gotham that she's really a nutjob? She needs the secrecy in order to run her operation. If you want to see Hudson act all crazy as Harleen, I'm pretty sure that Harleen would be in the spotlight and have her plans ruined. The point right now is to play Harleen with subtlety and not with Callisto-like madness.

I love Mia Sara as Harley, I never said I don't. As a matter of fact, I think she's the only thing that can save the show. However, the way Mia Sara talks and her facial expressions are EXTREMELY similar to Hudson Leick's portrayal of Callisto. I don't c that as a bad thing, but why not go with who portrays Callisto in the first place? I do think Mia Sara is a good actress, but I also believe Hudson could have played the role a little better. Again, I don't have animosity towards Mia, I'm just saying that her performance is too similar to what Hudson did with Callisto, so again, I don't see the purpose of not casting Hudson to begin with.

I think Hudson would have been a much better choice for Harley. She may have brought a little bit more to the role than Mia. Then again, with the lack of solid writing perhaps even Hudson would have been limited in the role.

I think Arleen Sorkin should've played Harley. Besides doing the voice in the cartoon, she was also the inspiration for the character.
