Ian Abercrombie to Perform in AIDS Project LA Benefit

Ian Abercrombie will be appearing in the 21st annual Southland Theater Artists Goodwill Event (STAGE) to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles and GLASS from March 11-13. This year's benefit is entitled "Two on the Aisle" and celebrates the work of Marvin Hamlisch and Harry Warren. The show will be held at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex, California State University, Los Angeles. Among the Broadway and Hollywood stars appearing with Ian will be Tyne Daly, Tonya Pickens, Lorette Devine, and Patrick Cassidy. [More...]

Dina Meyer Menaces Point Pleasant

Dina Meyer begins making trouble in the seashore town of Point Pleasant on January 19. She portrays Amber Hargrove, a sexy, single mother, who is pursuing a married man, played by Richard Burgi. Amber's daughter is involved with the young lifeguard who rescues the girl who turns out to be the devil's daughter. Amber also becomes involved with the devil's right hand man (Grant Show). Dina Meyer Joins the Cast of "Point Pleasant"

Dina Meyer will be returning to television on a weekly basis as a cast member of Fox's new midseason drama, "Point Pleasant". The former Barbara Gordon/Batgirl will play Amber, a "hot single mom who likes to stir up trouble in the beachside community". Ashley Scott Out of "Joey"

The producers of the "Friends" spinoff, "Joey", have decided to drop Ashley Scott from the role of Matt LeBlanc's sexy neighbor and potential love interest. The role will be redeveloped and recast. This is a very unfortunate turn of events both for Ashley and for "Birds of Prey" fans, who were looking forward to seeing a now-blonde Ashley every week in a new show. [More...]

Ashley Scott is a "Friend" to "Joey"
 -- Thursday April 15th, 2004


In a major casting coup, Ashley Scott will join Matt Le Blanc and Drea De Matteo (The Sopranos) in "Joey", the "Friends" spinoff which will take over the valuable Thursday at 8 p.m. timeslot on NBC in the Fall. Ashley will play the sexy neighbor and potential love interest for Le Blanc's character Joey Tribbiani.

Ian Abercrombie to Appear on "Charmed" on April 25
 -- Tuesday March 30th, 2004


Ian will be appearing in an episode entitled "Crimes and Witch Demeanors". He plays a member of a four-person Tribunal sitting in judgment of the sisters. The episode was directed by John Kretchmer, who also directed BoP's own "Lady Shiva". Another member of the Tribunal is Ken Page, who starred in the original Broadway version of "Cats". "Crimes and Witch Demeanors" will air on The WB on April 25th at 8 p.m. Ian will also be appearing in another episode of "Charmed" in the near future. Ashley Scott Joins The Rock in "Walking Tall"

Ashley Scott co-stars with The Rock in a remake of the 1973 movie which was based upon the exploits of a legendary Tennessee lawman. In this version, Scott plays Deni, the ex-girlfriend of Chris Vaughn (The Rock), who has returned to his home town only to find that things have changed for the worst. Deni is now performing in a strip club run by Vaughn's high school rival (Neal McDonough). "Walking Tall" opens nationwide on April 2. [More...]

Dina Meyer stars in new indie film, "Unspeakable"

A new psychological thriller starring Dina Meyer, Dennis Hopper, Lance Henriksen and Jeff Fahey will have its world premiere on February 27th in Los Angeles. Dina plays a fiercely independent but emotionally isolated psychiatrist who is testing "brain fingerprinting", a new cutting edge technology, on death row inmates. "Unspeakable" won the Gold Medal at the 2002 Houston International Film Festival. [More...]

Dina Meyer continues her guest starring role on "Miss Match"

The drama of the two Batgirls continues as Dina Meyer (our favorite Batgirl) guest stars on the next two episodes of "Miss Match" with Alicia Silverstone (the Batgirl from the movies). Dina's episodes will air on December 5 and December 12. Depending upon the storyline and the ratings, there is the possibility that Dina's role could continue beyond these episodes. [More...]

Dina Meyer will be guest starring on an episode of "Miss Match" entitled "The Love Bandit". "Miss Match" stars Alicia Silverstone (a former movie Batgirl) and Ryan O'Neal. Dina will be playing the role of Lauren, the ex-girlfriend of one of the main characters who becomes the newest client of Alicia's character. "The Love Bandit" airs tonight on NBC at 9 p.m. This part may turn into a recurring role for Dina so be sure to tune in and catch our favorite Batgirl as she tangles with the Batgirl from the movies! Ashley Scott to star in "Into the Blue"
 -- Friday October 10th, 2003


Ashley Scott will be teaming again with former "Dark Angel" co-star Jessica Alba to film "Into the Blue", an underwater action-adventure movie to be directed by John Stockwell. The film, which also stars Paul Walker, revolves around a group of scuba-diving best friends who discover the sunken wreckage of a plane off of the Florida coast which contains illegal cargo. Laeta Kalogridis to write new Wonder Woman movie

Laeta Kalogridis, creator of the television version of "Birds of Prey", has been signed to write the script for the new Wonder Woman movie, which will be based upon the DC Comics character. Kalogridis, who is known for her ability to write strong female characters, plans to set the story of the superhero in the present day. No news yet on a start date for the filming. [More...]

Shemar Moore to Co-Star in Miniseries

Shemar Moore ("Detective Reese") has been cast in Scott Turow's "Reversible Errors", a four-hour miniseries based upon the legal thriller of the same name. The miniseries, which will air on CBS, also stars William H. Macy, Tom Selleck, Felicity Huffman and Monica Potter. [More...]

Rachel Skarsten hosts Canadian Sports TV Show

Rachel Skarsten ("Dinah") has a new job closer to home in Canada. Rachel is the host of "Science of Sports", a new segment airing on POV Sports (part of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.).
